Baseball Predictions – Los Angeles Dodgers Favored at Home on Tuesday Night vs. Atlanta Braves on MLB Network

Baseball Betting:  Two of the top teams in the National League meet on Tuesday night on MLB Network as the Atlanta Braves visit the Los Angeles Dodgers.  The Braves are battling with the Washington Nationals for the top spot in the National League East while the Dodgers are fighting with the San Francisco Giants for the lead in the National League West.  Here is a look at this matchup between the Braves and Dodgers on Tuesday night and baseball predictions.

Braves 27-24 on the Road

Atlanta has been decent on the road this season as they are three games above .500. They usually win with pitching as they have the 5th best ERA in the league as they are allowing just 3.32 runs per game. The offense is weak as they are 26th in the league, averaging just 3.85 runs per game.  The Braves try and win a lot of low scoring games and with their pitching they are able to do that more times than not.

Dodgers 25-24 at Home

If you have been betting on the Dodgers at home you have been losing money.  The team is only one game above .500 at home and since they are favored in every game at home that means gamblers wagering on L.A. at home have lost money. The Dodgers really should be better than they are as they rank 8th in team ERA and 14th in team batting.

Game Notes

It will likely be Aaron Harang against Josh Beckett on Tuesday. Harang is 9-6 on the season with a 3.36 ERA while Beckett is 6-5 with a 2.52 ERA. The Braves and Dodgers have split their last ten meetings overall with the last five going over the total.  They have not met since October of last year. The Dodgers have won six of the last ten at home in this series with five of the last eight going under.

Baseball Predictions

It is hard to trust either team based on their home/road splits in this one so we’ll simply look for a low scoring game that goes under the total.
