NFL Odds Picks: Who Does the Public Like in Week 16?

The public likes Philip Rivers and the Chargers to cover against a struggling San Francisco team on Sunday.

NFL Odds Picks: The public did well in Week 15 with a lot of plays and they are right back with a bunch of games in Week 16. A number of the teams are normal public favorites but there are a few surprises. Let’s look at who the public is betting in Week 16.

San Diego Chargers (+1) at San Francisco 49ers

The public wants nothing to do with the 49ers and this is a must-win game for the Chargers if they are to have any chance of making the playoffs. It is not a big shock that the public is on San Diego.

Philadelphia Eagles (-7.5) at Washington Redskins

The Eagles didn’t look good last week against Dallas but this is a virtual must-win game for them and the Redskins have been a mess all season. The public is all over the Eagles in this one even with the high number in a road game.

Green Bay Packers (-10) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The public expects the Packers to bounce back big this week after last week’s loss to Buffalo. The Bucs have been one of the worst teams in the NFL this season so it is no surprise to see the public backing Green Bay, even laying double-digits.

Detroit Lions (-7) at Chicago Bears

The public has been going against the Bears of late and getting rewarded as Chicago is a mess on both sides of the ball. The public is laying the points in this one and taking the Lions on the road.

New England Patriots (-10) at New York Jets

The Patriots are a favorite team of the public so it is no surprise they are getting support this week. The only cause for concern for the public would be that the Jets usually play the Patriots tough and double-digit favorites don’t cover in the NFL that often.

Baltimore Ravens (-5.5) at Houston Texans

The Texans have major problems at quarterback so the public is backing the Ravens on the road. This one might not be easy for Baltimore as the Texans have a good defense and a potential MVP in J.J. Watt.

Buffalo Bills (-5.5) at Oakland Raiders

The public is going against the Raiders again this week as they are backing the Bills. It is a must-win game for Buffalo and the team is playing well coming off a win against Green Bay.

Seattle (-7.5) at Arizona Cardinals

The public is backing the Seahawks in a key game in the NFC West. Seattle is laying big points against a very good defensive team but the Cardinals are going with Ryan Lindley at quarterback so you have to like the chances of Seattle winning.
