NFL Picks: Cowboys Host Redskins on Monday Night

NFL Picks: The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most improved and surprising teams in the NFL both on the field and at the betting window as the leaders of the NFC East. The Washington Redskins are coming off a season-saving win last week but are still stuck in the last place ditch.

The Cowboys will host the Redskins at AT&T Stadium on Monday night with coverage on ESPN starting at 8:30 PM ET. Dallas opened as a seven-point favorite with a total of 49.5.

Cowboys Ride High
Dallas is 6-1 straight up, 5-2 against the spread, and 4-3 over the total after a 31-21 home win over the New York Giants. Dallas is the top ranked rushing offense in the NFL and ranks fifth for scoring offense. DeMarco Murray has already compiled 913 rushing yards and the Cowboys defense ranks 10th for points allowed.

Colts saves Skins

Colt McCoy came off the bench to QB Washington to a 19-17 home win over Tennessee last week but Washington did not get the money as six point overlays. Washington is 2-5 both SU and ATS with 4-3 over the total. The Redskins rank 22nd for scoring offense and 24th for scoring defense.

Matchup and Pick

Washington has been a weak betting value on the road as they have lost seven out of their last nine road games against the spread. The Redskins have gone over the total in five out of their last eight road games.

Dallas has also struggled as a betting value when they play at AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys have paid out in just two out of their last seven home games. Dallas has gone over the total in three out of their last five home games.

Washington has paid out in seven out of its last eight games against Dallas. The Cowboys and Redskins have gone under the total in their last three matchups. Although Dallas got the money at home against Washington last year the Redskins covered their previous six visits against the spread at Big D. The Redskins and Cowboys have gone under the total in three out of their last five meetings at Dallas. We’ll call for Washington (+7) and under the total of 49.5 in this Monday Night matchup.
