NBA Finals Game 5 in 2022 Presented The Golden State Warriors seized a 3-2 series lead against the Boston Celtics, drawing an average of 13,025,000 viewers on YouTube TV. According to Nielsen, the ABC broadcast increased 30% over Game 5 of the previous season. In the upcoming matches, it’s anticipated that there will be even more viewers.

At 11:15 p.m. ET, when Game 5 of last night’s series peaked with 15,352,000 viewers, ABC won the night across all of television, including in every important demographic. Each of the first five NBA Finals games is among the top five television shows of the month in terms of viewers. Through five games, the NBA Finals on ABC have averaged 12,087,000 viewers, a 26 percent increase from 2021 and the highest number of viewers in three years.

The average share for the five NBA Finals games on ABC is 19.4, up 29% from the previous year. On nights when NBA Finals games are shown, about one out of every five viewers is turned to ABC. On June 16, Game 6 of the NBA Finals will broadcast on ABC as well.
