2014 College World Series Preview and Favorites to Win the Title

The top-ranked Oregon State Beavers are the #1 seed for the 2014 College World Series and they will be one of the favorites in College World Series odds. The NCAA baseball tournament starts with regionals on May 30-June 2 and continues until the College World Series title series with begins on June 23rd. Here is a look at the top eight seeds for the NCAA baseball tournament and the College World Series schedule.

This will be the first time that the Oregon State Beavers will be a #1 seed. They have an excellent starting rotation of Ben Wetzler, Jace Fry and Andrew Moore and one of the best position players in the country in left fielder Michael Conforto.

College World Series Format

The NCAA baseball tournament begins with 16 four-team, double-elimination regionals. There are then best-of-three super regionals next week with the winners of those regionals going to the College World Series.
