2018 America’s Got Talent Odds and Recap of Tryouts

America's Got Talent

It’s Season 13 of America’s Got Talent and the contestants are vying for a prize of $1,000,000 and a contract for a show in Las Vegas. Who do you think might win so far? There are a lot of great talents this year and here’s the recap of this week’s two-hour episode:

Up first is the Voices of Hope Children’s Choir and Miss Sarah wants to start a tuition-free music program. Give her the check now. LOL Now they are singing “This is Me,” from The Greatest Showman — my favorite song! Give her the money now. NOW! They get through to the next round, but all the judges say they need to pull out the stops for the next performance.

Quinn and Meesha (who is going to be 71 and looks amazing) are a ballroom couple. I think they are good for amateurs, and for her being 71, but I don’t think it’s a million dollar act. They advance.

So this next guy is able to move things with his mind? Ohmigod, after a hard day, this man gave me my first hearty laugh of the day. Great stuff.

This 13-year-old, Jeffrey Li, sings Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up” and is amazing. He always wanted a dog and Simon says, “If you do well, I’m going to buy you a dog.” Wow. His voice is beautiful. He gave me chills. Buy him that dog Simon!

The next America’s Got Talent act is one of my favorites for a Las Vegas show. It’s Udi Dance’s show and I LOVE this…watch it —

Next is a montage of Simon saying ‘no’ and not always in the nicest way — welcome back Simon!
Daniel Emmett, 25, is a singer up next. When he opened his mouth, his voice is beautiful and he’s good looking to boot. Simon stops the audition. Wow. He’s a beautiful singer, but Simon didn’t think that the song was good. Simon tells him he deserves him another shot and he is to learn a different song and then come back. Wow that’s never happened before. He has to learn a brand new song in Italian. He nailed it. Wide-eyed Simon tells him that he did a great job and it shows what kind of a person he is. Four yesses. I’m rooting for him. He’s a genuinely a nice guy.

Next up is the seriously best looking couple I’ve ever seen — DuoTranscend — and they are doing a trapeze act. He has an eye condition where he can’t really see and the aerials are AH-MAZ-ING! Wow! Now THAT’S A MILLION DOLLAR ACT.

The most dangerous act of the night? Annaliese Nock

Of course, you’re wondering, “Did the golden buzzer get used?”

Singing for the judges is Amanda, a 15-year-old singer from Boston. She has been bullied and it gave her “tough skin.” This girl has pipes!

My America’s Got Talent recaps do not include everyone who made it through, because AGT will only show bits and pieces of some auditions who got through.
