The Web.com Tour is back with the Knoxville Open after a week off, and it is held at Fox Den Country Club. This event is one of four original events that have always held by this Tour. The last tournament was the United Leasing and Finance Championship, which was won by Jose de Jesus Rodriguez. Let’s take a closer look at the tournament as well as the betting lines for this event, which are courtesy of BetDSI Sportsbook.

Event Details

Category: Web.com

Location: Fox Den Country Club, Knoxville, Tennessee

Past Five Winners

2017: Talor Gooch -18

2015: Patton Kizzire -20

2014: Martin Piller -22

2013: Peter Malnati -16

The Favorites

Sam Burns (+1400): Burns will likely be the favorite, or one of the favorites, each time he tees it up this year. He finished T-33 at the North Mississippi Classic, but he has had a couple weeks off to recharge his batteries. His putting has been great this season as Burns ranks fifth in putting average.

Sungjae Im (+2500): Im should also contend as he leads the Web.com Tour in money, and he is looking to bounce back from a missed cut at the United Leasing and Finance Championship. Im gives himself plenty of chances to be successful, ranking seventh in greens-in-regulation.

Next In Line

Roberto Castro (+2500): Castro has finishes of second, T-7 and T-5 in his last three starts, and he has been solid from tee to green. He ranks second in driving accuracy, first in greens-in-regulation, and ninth in putting. He is going to win on the Web.com Tour soon.

Scott Langley (+2800): Langley is second on the money list and he has three top-ten finishes in 2017, including a win at the Panama Championship. However, he has a missed cut and a T-24 in his last two starts and he can be balky with the flatstick, ranking 110th in putting average.

Julian Etulain (+2800): Etulain missed the cut at the United Leasing and Finance Championship. Prior to that, he had won in Louisiana, and then finished T-5 and T-17 in his next two starts. He ranks 11th in greens-in-regulation and eighth in putting, but he would be more dangerous if he could improve off the tee. Etulain is 97th in driving distance and 121st in accuracy; you have to be good in at least one of those categories. He finished T-9 here in 2015.

Sleeper Picks

Jonathan Hodge (+5000): Hodge is coming off a T-7 at the North Mississippi Classic, which is his best result of the season. It comes just in time as Hodge heads home to Knoxville, where he finished solo second last year and the crowd will certainly be on his side.

Adam Svensson (+6000): Svensson is quietly fourth on the money list, but he needs a good performance after missing the cut in his last three starts. He has been buoyed by his win in the Bahamas early in the season, but he has to get out of this rut. He ranks 18th on the Web.com Tour in putting average.
