With the 2026 NBA playoffs underway, 14 lottery-bound teams and eight clubs eliminated in the first round have shifted into offseason mode. The draft lottery set the order for the first 14 selections while the remainder of the league will pick in reverse order of their regular-season finishes, after the NBA broke several ties on April 20 and held the lottery on May 10.
The Brooklyn Nets, Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards entered the lottery with the best odds at the No. 1 pick (14% each), and the Wizards won the top selection, according to ESPN. The 2026 class has been widely praised for its depth.
