The 2026 NHL draft will be held at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, with Round 1 scheduled for June 26 and Rounds 2-7 on June 27. The event covers 224 selections across seven rounds.
The order for each round is set by the finishing positions from the 2025-26 regular season and the 2026 Stanley Cup playoffs, with the top of the first-round order altered by a draft lottery conducted May 5. The Toronto Maple Leafs won the first draw and the San Jose Sharks won the second draw.
The first-round lineup following the lottery and the Stanley Cup Final lists the top 10 as: 1. Toronto Maple Leafs, 2. San Jose Sharks, 3. Vancouver Canucks, 4. Chicago Blackhawks, 5. New York Rangers, 6. Calgary Flames, 7. Seattle Kraken, 8. Winnipeg Jets, 9. Florida Panthers and 10. Nashville Predators.
The full first round runs 1–32 and includes multiple teams with more than one selection: the St. Louis Blues hold picks at 11, 15 (from Detroit) and 29 (from Colorado); the Washington Capitals have picks at 16 and 18 (the latter from Anaheim); Vancouver also appears twice in the top 24 (3 and 24, the latter from Minnesota); Seattle holds 7 and 25 (from Tampa Bay); the New York Rangers own picks 5 and 26 (from Dallas); Calgary appears at 6 and 30 (the latter from Vegas); and San Jose holds No. 2 and No. 20 (the latter from Edmonton). The first round concludes with 31. Carolina Hurricanes and 32. Ottawa Senators.
The draft order for subsequent rounds is laid out in full. Vancouver opens Round 2 at No. 33 and Calgary begins Round 3 at No. 65. A nullified pick appears at No. 63 in Round 2.
