205 Live Recap: Mr. Steal Your Girl, Noam Dar

Last week on 205 Live was a jam packed episode. There was the return of Tajiri, Ariya Daivari attacked Jack Gallagher in the middle of his match, Mustafa Ali picked up a surprise win over Noam Dar, and Neville defeated TJ Perkins. Tonight, Rich Swann returns to action against Tony Nese, and Cedric Alexander goes head-to-head with Noam Dar.

Cedric Alexander (w/Alicia Fooooooooox) vs. Noam Dar
If you have been watching either 205 Live or Monday Night Raw recently, you already know that it is Noam Dar’s sole mission to steal Alicia Fox away from Cedric Alexander. Last night, Dar approached Fox backstage, and while he expecting to get slapped, she planted a big kiss on him. After Fox said Dar couldn’t “handle a real woman,” Dar looks to prove her wrong by “emasculating” Cedric Alexander.

Cedric Alexander looks to hit Noam Dar with a splash, when Alicia Fox pulls Noam Dar out of the way. After confusing herself, Noam Dar, and the entire WWE Universe, Dar takes advantage to hit Alexander with a shining wizard to take the win (and possibly his girlfriend). Winner: Noam Dar

Brian Kendrick vs. Sean Maluta
Sean Maluta, even though he hasn’t picked up a win, has been finding a good chunk of television time for himself. He has competed in the Cruiserweight Classic, NXT, and now 205 Live. A member of the Samoan wrestling dynasty, Maluta could still climb the ladder in the Cruiserweight Division. Maluta competed on 205 Live last week against the returning Japanese Buzzsaw, Tajiri, but Tajiri would pick up the win.

After Tajiri’s victory last week, Brian Kendrick would approach him in the middle of the ring to congratulate him and welcome him to 205 Live. Tajiri, knowing that Kendrick always has something up his sleeve, immediately sprayed him with hit patented green mist to disorient his fellow veteran.

Sean Maluta kicks out of a roll-up, but Brian Kendrick immediately locks in the Captain’s Hook in the center of the ring, forcing Maluta to tap out. Winner (via submission): Brian Kendrick

Backstage Segment
Cedric Alexander is frustrated after Alicia Fox cost him yet another match earlier tonight, and he breaks up with her. Fox snaps and screams at Alexander while he walks away.

Parlay feat. Jack Gallagher & Ariya Daivari
Jack Gallagher and Ariya Daivari have been feuding for several weeks now, and Gallagher has called a parlay in order to find a resolution to their rivalry. Daivari does not want to settle it gentlemanly, and Gallagher already had a plan for that case. Gallagher proposes a contract for an “I Forfeit” match, which is just a gentlemanly version of an “I Quit” match. However, whoever says “I forfeit” not only loses the match, but surrenders the rivalry and has to live with it.

After Daivari signs the contract, Gallagher says that he hopes “the Queen’s not watching,” and proceeds to attack Daivari. The two brawl all around the ring, and they are only stopped when an army of referees enter the ring.

Rich Swann vs. Tony Nese
Neville has been decimating the Cruiserweight Division, and the self-professed King of the Cruiserweights made his biggest statement when he defeated and destroyed Rich Swann two weeks ago. Swann would be out of action until last night, when he returned to attack Neville in an act of revenge. Tonight, Swann takes on the “Premier Athlete” Tony Nese, who has a very similar skill set as Neville.

It’s interesting to note that during this match, Drew Gulak did not accompany Tony Nese to the ring. Nese and Gulak have been paired up since the final episode of the Cruiserweight Classic, and when one of them is competing, the other one tends to stay at ringside. This could be detrimental for Nese by changing up his strategy against the Cruiserweight Champion.

Tony Nese almost puts the champion away, but Swann’s vicious spinning back kick was all he needed to put Nese away. Winner: Rich Swann

After the match, Rich Swann says that since he is the Cruiserweight Champion, 205 Live is still “his show.” Neville comes out and demands a Cruiserweight Championship match at the Royal Rumble, and Swann accepts.
