5 Best Waiver Wire Options For Week 10 In NBA Fantasy

The waiver wire in fantasy basketball is an evolving pool of players. As injuries occur or rotations change, some players become more valuable while some drop down the ranks. As we move into the 10th week of action on the hard courts, let’s take a look at the five strongest waiver wire options for week 10 of the NBA fantasy season.

Bismack Biyombo, Toronto Raptors

Center

There was a lot of talk about how Biymobo would have to step up for the Raptors following an injury to starting center Jonas Valanciunas and he has done exactly that. He has posted some extremely strong numbers over the past couple of weeks. Biyombo has heated up over the last week of action in particular, averaging 11.5 points, 16.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 1.5 assists per game. Biyombo’s fantasy relevance is tied directly to Valanciunas’ injury status but as long as he continues to start and play big minutes this week, he is a solid option at the center position with Toronto set to play four games including three of them at home. Don’t expect to see the double digits in terms of points as we have recently but he is an excellent source of rebounds and blocks, which makes him a quality asset.

Jeremy Lin, Charlotte Hornets

Point Guard, Shooting Guard

Linsanity may be a distant memory at this point but Lin has played big minutes for the Hornets over the past couple of weeks. That has led to some impressive fantasy numbers over that span. Lin has averaged 12.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.0 block per game over the last seven days. He should continue to produce with Charlotte set to play four games this week including three of them at home this week. This is a team that is slowly developing a quality rotation and he’s a part of it. While he’s been hot of late, he’s someone you’re going to want to hang onto for a longer period of time (unlike Biyombo, who is more of a temporary play).

Jameer Nelson, Denver Nuggets

Point Guard

The Nuggets have turned to the veteran Nelson as their starter with rookie first round pick Emmanuel Mudiay injured and he has rewarded their faith in him with some solid production. He’s been thriving with the increased minutes he has been given, playing 31.9 as a starter this season. Nelson is coming off one of his best performances of the year on Saturday when he scored 15 points with eight rebounds and five assists. His ability to stuff the stat sheet across the board – including some threes – makes him a strong option at the point guard position with Denver set to play four games this week.

Jordan Hill, Indiana Pacers

Power Forward, Center

Hill has registered a pair of double-doubles while putting up some impressive numbers over his last five games. While he hasn’t cracked the starting lineup just yet, he could be in line for a promotion soon if he continues to put up strong numbers. Hill has averaged 13.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game over the past seven days, so if you need help in those two categories it is definitely worth taking a chance on him this week. Indiana is set to play four games and Hill eligible at both the center and power forward positions.

Gerald Green, Miami Heat

Point Guard, Shooting Guard

While Hill is a good source of rebounds and points this week you might want to considering Green if you need points and three-point shots as he has really heated up of late for Miami including from beyond the arc in particularly. Green has averaged 14.4 points including 2.4 three-point shots per game over the past two weeks of action and the Heat play four games this week including two of them at home.
