8/30/2018 Free Betting Preview – Wake Forest Demon Deacons at Tulane Green Wave

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are favored by two field goals when they open their season against the Tulane Green Wave at Benson Field at Yulman Stadium. CBS Sports Network will televise the action and kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET.

In this Thursday matchup, Wake Forest is projected as the favorite and is currently giving up 6 points. The Demon Deacons are also receiving -240 moneyline odds while the Green Wave are +190. This tilt is a toss-up. If one side can find paydirt early it will produce a worthy live betting scenario. Vegas has set the over/under (O/U) at 56. With the spread currently sitting at Tulane +6, oddsmakers are speculating that this could be a 25-31 victory for the Demon Deacons.

When facing just AAC opponents, the offense registered 30.3 points per game by averaging 193 passing yards and 224 rushing yards. The Green Wave defense allowed 27.5 PPG to non-conference foes and 30.0 to teams in conference in 2017

The Demon Deacons should hold an advantage along both the offensive and defensive fronts, as their offensive line allowed just 20 sacks last season while the D-line logged 28 sacks. The Green Wave O-line permitted 24 sacks last year and their defense generated only 13 sacks.
