We hear stories of senseless shootings all too often nowadays, and one of those impacted the college football world on Wednesday. Yesterday afternoon, it was reported that Grambling wide receiver DJ Clark had been shot at a New Orleans playground, and his younger brother had been killed in the incident. Now, the college football world mourns the loss.

Clark and his younger brother were both stand-out wide receiver recruits in New Orleans. The elder Clark just finished his first season with Grambling State, and he tied for the team lead in receiving touchdowns as a freshman. He is reportedly in stable condition.

The Oakland Raiders are coming to Las Vegas next season, and the UNLV Rebels will move out of Sam Boyd Stadium and into their new home. The program has struggled to put fans in the stands over the last few decades, but the university is very bullish that their games will be a hot ticket in a brand-new stadium. Their asking price seems incredibly optimistic, and time will tell whether or not that’s realistic.

Finally, it’s been reported that quarterback Chris Robison has been reinstated at Florida Atlantic. Robison had been suspended after accusations against him emerged in March, and he was held out for spring practice as a consequence. He is expected to be the Owls’ starting quarterback this year, so that’s good news for Lane Kiffin.
