Kris Dunn Leads Latest CBB Stock Report

Kris Dunn, Providence: Buy

While he struggled through foul trouble, finishing the game with four, Dunn was easily the best player on the floor in Providence’s win over No. 11 Arizona on Friday night. He tallied 19 points and eight assists in just 21 minutes. He’s the reason the Friars will be ranked next week, and he’s unquestionably the best point guard in the country right now.

Jaylen Brown, California: Buy

After struggling mightily against San Diego State (just seven points), Brown bounced back with a career night against Richmond–though Cal ultimately fell to the Spiders. Brown poured in 27 points and reminded people why he was ranked among the two or three best prospects in the 2015 class by recruiting pundits.

Ron Baker, Wichita State: Sell

Baker was incredibly inefficient from the field in Wichita State’s two recent losses and it appears that without point guard Fred Van Vleet on the floor, Baker simply struggles to be the kind of player we’ve all become accustomed to the past few years. While he projects to continue putting up volume and racking up some stats in the process, I’d look elsewhere for scorers that can do it on a more consistent and efficient basis, at this point.

Gabe York, Arizona: Sell

Sure, he’s scored in double-figures each game this season, but his increased usage this season continues to equal inefficiency and frustration for York. The senior guard is shooting under 42-percent from the field, and has shot 3-for-16 from beyond the arc this week. York is pressing, and frankly, he’s not good enough to both press and be effective. He needs to play off of Ryan Anderson and Allonzo Trier to be consistent.

Somewhere between psychotic and iconic, William finds refuge in the sound of a leather ball bouncing on a wooden floor, preferably with a Burgundy in hand.
