Hawaii Rainbow Warriors – Cal State Northridge Matadors Preview – 02.18.2016

The Cal State Northridge Matadors (9-16) will have their chance to upend the Big West’s best team when they face off against the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors (20-3) at Matadome. Action gets underway at 10:00 pm ET on Thursday, Feb. 18 and can be seen on ES3.

The Matadors are hoping to rebound after their 93-84 loss to UC Irvine the last time they played. Jerron Wilbut had a good game for Cal State Northridge, putting up 19 points, four steals, and one rebound. The Rainbow Warriors are coming off a 76-59 win against Cal State Fullerton in their last game. Stefan Jankovic led the team in scoring with 16 points on 5-for-13 shooting.

The ineffective offense of Cal State Northridge (273rd in the nation with an offensive efficiency of 100.5) will square off against the stingy defense of Hawaii (ninth in the nation with a defensive efficiency of 92.5). The Rainbow Warriors figure to have the advantage on that end of the court.
