Lega Calcio – Round 22 Serie A Preview

Lega Calcio

Lega Calcio arrives to round 21 of the Serie A campaign, and it is time to preview the matches.

After a mid-week round of the Coppa Italia quarterfinals, we return to league action on the Italian pitch. Of course, I hope you enjoyed the two plays I offered in my article. We won one play and pushed the other. Success comes when you do not post a losing play, and that is exactly what happened.

Now that we got that settled, let’s reveal the lines, and see what 10 contests we have to choose from this weekend. I will add a little Serie B when we get through the top flight discussion. As per the norm, I will post the 1×2 lines, spreads, and totals.

I would tend to think that someone out there is noticing some of these user-friendly lines. This should be a profitable weekend once again, so I am excited to preview these matches.

Keep in mind that there is one Serie B match taking place on Friday. After I hand out some top flight Lega Calcio action, the Frosinone / Brescia match kicks off the weekend. First we hit the Serie A pitch, and then I’ll turn my attention to second tier.

I’ll start with the two Saturday matches, with the first coming at Stadio Olimpico. Lazio is hosting Chievo, and as I said last weekend Chievo is a mess. We took advantage of it then and we will be taking advantage of it again this weekend.

I turn to the total and see even money being offered on the Over 2.5. Until Chievo shows me they can break the funk they are in, I will continue to expect goals against them.

Suggested Play:
Lazio vs Chievo Over 2.5 @ + 100

The same can be said for Pescara as well, because they, too, cannot slow a soul down. We took advantage of their situation last weekend because Sassuolo beat them down.

I expected Inter to come up with a better performance last weekend against Palermo, but what a monsoon that was. That was some heavy rain for sure and the goals weren’t there. Now we see a 3.5 on this total, and I will simply look for more value somewhere else.

Let’s move to Sunday, and eight matches remain to help us find the goods.

I can’t believe I am about to say this. I am actually looking forward to a Torino / Atalanta match. I hope they have a hotline to seek help for that!

Strange to hear those words for sure, but I think we are going to see some fireworks here. Anyone who knows Serie A and has followed it for years like me, knows what I mean. Usually over the last few seasons, Atalanta matches have been tough to watch. That has changed for me at least, so let’s see if these two can’t play it out the way I expect.

Suggested Play:
Torino vs Atalanta over 2.5 @ -110

Personally, I also see some scoring taking place at Mapei Stadium. Sassuolo and Juve should easily snap three goals off to cash a 2.5 ticket. I certainly expect Sassuolo to break down the Juve defense for at least a goal. Gonzalo Higuian will also likely find the net, so one other tally is all we need. With a 2 – 1 expectation, the total goes on the board.

Suggested Play:
Sassuolo vs Juventus Over 2.5 @ -110

Well I want to touch on some Serie B this weekend, so that should fill your top flight fix.

In second-tier Lega Calcio action, I will start with the Saturday slate that features eight matches.

The first play that is jumping off the board and screaming at me to play comes at Stadio Manuzzi. Both Pinnacle and 5Dimes offer -115 on the Over 2 and 2.5 handicap, and that is playable. There really isn’t a need to shy away from the 2.5 straight total, but I like mini-safety nets. At least if they get stuck at 1 – 1, it won’t totally hurt, and sometimes that’s okay with me.

Suggested Play:
Cesena vs Ascoli Over 2 and 2.5 AH @ -115

I am offering the same play on the Avellino match with Virtus Entella in town. Again, I hope they don’t get stuck at 1 – 1 and settle for the point, but if the draw happens, it will be 2 – 2 IMO. Grab some value in the handicap total.

Suggested Play:
Avellino vs V. Entella Over 2 & 2.5 AH @ -102

I will leave you with a play on Novara at home. The nightmare that is Pisa on away from home continues, and I see it lasting at least one more weekend.

Suggested Play:
Novara @ -115 3-Way 1×2 Line vs Pisa
