Ole Miss Rebels vs. Georgia Bulldogs Betting Prediction

The Rebels will be looking for similar success after beating the South Carolina Gamecocks in their last game, 74-69. The Rebels made 26 of their 33 free throws (78.8 percent) and had a turnover percentage of 11.2 (better than their season average of 14.7). Ole Miss received a boost from Deandre Burnett, who was the team’s leading scorer with 18 points on 3-for-12 shooting.

The last time the Bulldogs played, they fell to the No. 16 Kentucky Wildcats, 66-61. Getting to the free throw line was one of Kentucky’s largest strengths. They had 38 free throw attempts, while Georgia had just 21. Georgia’s Yante Maten had a good game, leading the team in scoring with 17 points on 5-for-15 shooting.

The offensive glass could be a huge edge for Georgia in this matchup. Also, the Rebels rank 42nd in turnover percentage (16.5 percent), while the Bulldogs rank 341st in opponents’ turnover percentage (15.6 percent).

Ole Miss is 8-5 straight up (SU), but they have a difficult time covering the spread (4-8 against the spread (ATS)). Vegas is extremely accurate when setting the total of Rebels games, with an even split between overs and unders.

Meanwhile, Georgia owns records of 9-3 SU and 5-4 ATS. Vegas has a tendency to set the total low when the Bulldogs are involved, as 55.6 percent of their games have ended over the total.

Maten has averaged 22.4 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocks over the last five games for Georgia.

After the Bulldogs won the lone contest against the Rebels last season, 69-47, this will be the first matchup of the year between these two teams. The Bulldogs had a much better effective field goal percentage (0.452 vs. 0.294) and had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (26.5 vs. 20.5).
