AS Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche is being prioritised by Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to Footmercato. The 24-year-old has reportedly agreed to join PSG provided the clubs can settle on a transfer fee, with talks between Monaco, PSG and the player’s representatives ongoing.
Footmercato adds that Paris are expected to step up negotiations once Lee Kang-In’s proposed move to Atlético Madrid is completed. Meetings with head coach Luis Enrique are said to have helped convince the France international, though Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with the winger.
Manchester United have reopened talks with West Ham United midfielder Mateus Fernandes and are continuing efforts to land the Portugal international, journalist Matteo Moretto reports. United are prepared to improve their contract proposal to try to outflank Tottenham Hotspur and plan a fresh approach to West Ham over an expected £80 million asking price.
Moretto reports that Spurs remain active in the pursuit, but Manchester United remain confident they can complete a deal for the 21-year-old, who desires to leave following West Ham’s relegation.
Other Premier League transfer interest includes Newcastle United monitoring Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha, though The Chronicle says Newcastle are unwilling to meet Dortmund’s €100 million valuation and would pursue the Germany international only if demands fall. Everton have submitted an initial offer to sign Chelsea striker Liam Delap, Football Insider reports, with the Toffees hopeful after moving early amid interest from several other clubs.
Sky Italy reports Como have lodged a €25 million bid plus €2 million in add-ons for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah, while Chelsea are holding out for a fee nearer €30 million with bonuses. Separately, ESPN sources say Chelsea are exploring a move for Sunderland midfielder Granit Xhaka and that Manchester City are monitoring Morocco youth midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, with Arsenal also having shown interest.
