Alcorn State Braves – Alabama A&M Bulldogs Preview – 02.20.2016

The Alcorn State Braves will be at Elmore Gymnasium to take on the Alabama A&M Bulldogs in a Southwestern Athletic matchup. The game gets underway at 7:00 pm ET on Saturday, Feb. 20.

The Bulldogs lost to Alabama State 74-68 in their last game. Nick West recorded 18 points and 10 rebounds, earning his sixth double-double of the year. The Braves, meanwhile, are coming off a 79-60 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff in their last outing. Marquis Vance stood out for Alcorn State, recording 10 points, five rebounds, and two assists.

Over the last five games, West has been playing at a high level for the Bulldogs. During that stretch, he has averaged 18.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.8 steals, and 1.2 blocks.

This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. The Braves won the first game 63-58. Tamarcio Wilson was a top performer in the victory with 13 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two three-pointers.
