Apparently, Giannis Antetokounmpo Used To Practice Mean-Mugging In The Locker Room

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been great thus far in the postseason. He is the biggest the Milwaukee Bucks have been able to tie up their series with the Boston Celtics, 2-2.

In the Bucks’ win Sunday, Antetokounmpo played 40 minutes and racked up 27 points (on 12-for-20 shooting), seven rebounds, and five assists. He scored the game-winner, but none of his buckets were more emphatic than the absolute monster jam he threw down on veteran, All-Star forward Al Horford.

Giannis’ reaction was just as great as the dunk itself. A number of Twitter users commented on his hilarious mean mug.

The Greek Freak’s former teammate Jared Dudley got a kick out of it. He said Giannis used to practice his mean-mugging in the Bucks’ locker room.

The two played together for Milwaukee in the 2014-15 season, which was Giannis’ second in the NBA. He was only 20 at the time, so needless to say, he has come a long way.

He probably doesn’t practice his mean-mugging anymore, but he doesn’t need to — he already has the best post-dunk celebration face in the league.

Giannis’ Future

Giannis has gotten better in every year of his five-year NBA career. He made his second All-Star team this year and emerged as an MVP candidate.

He is probably one year away from outright dominating and taking over the league. His jump shot could still use some work, and he doesn’t totally have the “feel for the game” that other stars, like LeBron James and James Harden, possess. Nonetheless, Giannis is the biggest physical anomaly the league has ever seen, and he is only getting better.

Game Five of the Celtics-Bucks series, which has turned into an entertaining one, is slated for Tuesday at 7 p.m. EST. It will air on NBATV.
