It will be a battle between SEC opponents when the Texas A&M Aggies (6-5) welcome the Arkansas Razorbacks (9-3) to Reed Arena. The game starts at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 5, 2019, and will air on SEC Network.

Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Texas A&M Aggies Betting Prediction

In the Razorbacks’ last game, they were topped by the Texas Longhorns, 73-71. One of Texas’ biggest advantages was getting to the free throw line. They had 30 free throw attempts, while Arkansas had 24. Daniel Gafford was the top scorer from either team with 20 points on 8-for-15 shooting.

The Aggies beat the Savannah State Tigers in their last matchup, 98-83. The Aggies had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (46.0 vs. 26.2) and had a better free throw rate (0.198 vs. 0.146). Savion Flagg was the top scorer from either team with 24 points on 10-for-14 shooting from the field.

After splitting two games last season, this will be the first matchup of the year between these two teams. The Razorbacks won the most recent matchup 94-75. The Razorbacks had a much better turnover percentage (10.0 vs. 15.6) and had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (48.7 vs. 33.3).

Gafford and Isaiah Joe have been playing well over the last five games for Arkansas. Gafford has averaged 0 points per game. Not to be outdone, Joe has put up 0 points a game during that span.

This has potential to be a sloppy game for the Texas A&M offense. Texas A&M ranks 283rd in the nation in ball protection (turnover percentage of 20.2 percent), while the ball-hawking defense of Arkansas forces the 39th-most turnovers in the NCAA (22.7 percent).
