Athletics at Villanova Records highest success rate in program history for NCAA graduation

Villanova’s student-athletes’ commitment to their studies has once again put the Wildcats in a position to raise the bar for the highest caliber of academic success. In the most recent data provided by the NCAA on Tuesday afternoon, Villanova Athletics achieved a new program record with a 99 percent NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR) and is ranked among the top five Division I programs in the nation. Villanova is one of just five colleges in the country with a GSR of 99 percent or greater, and it has the best GSR among the BIG EAST programs.

Villanova had 13 of its athletic teams earn a pristine 100 percent graduation success rate for the 2012-2015 cohort in this week’s GSR announcement. The percentage of student-athletes who enrolled in college using institutional help (whether athletics-based or not) during those years and graduated within six years is measured by this data. Five men’s programs and eight women’s programs at Villanova received a GSR of 100 percent in the release.
