Bare Knuckle Boxing – September 9

Bare Knuckle Boxing

Bare Knuckle Boxing makes its return to the ring this Saturday, September 9 for BKB7!

With a full card of bouts set to take place, The Auditorium in Liverpool, England sets the stage. The Bare Knuckle Boxing community is looking to stretch their legs outside of small-based arenas. An estimated 1,100 fans could potentially fill the London-based venue, with remaining tickets going for £38 to £44.50.

Also recognized as Echo Arena Liverpool, the Bare Knuckle Boxing event is one of many combat type events taking place at the venue. John Legend and Katy Perry will be gracing the grounds with their presence in 2018.

Do not mistake this sport for what could be considered ‘underground’, because its popularity might push the envelope. To date, the handful of events that have taken place have all been at relatively small establishments.

The card is set to feature 14 bouts in all, 7 on the preliminary card, and 7 on the main card.

The preliminary card appears as follows:

Dan Donnelly has yet to find an opponent, although it should be announced before the end of the week.
Micky Mags vs John Spencer
Gluhak vs James Higgy
Stuart Maddox vs Peter Radford
Daniel Podmore vs Mickey Parker
Scott Midgley vs Bergers Luca
Billy Hawthorn vs Josh Burns

The main card bouts will appear as such:

Jimmy McCrory vs Terry Carruthers
Christian Evans vs Kris Trezize
Nathan Leeson vs Sean George
Michael Terrill vs Hari Laurie Miles
Ricky Nelder vs Reljic
Jimmy Sweeney vs Melvin Guillard
We are also awaiting the main card announcement, that will complete the night’s events.

You can stay in touch with what is going on, by checking the BKB Twitter Feed. You can check that out HERE

I’m sure they would appreciate the support, so check them out for updates leading up to Saturday.

Diamond Sportsbook is offering lines on a handful of the bouts taking place.

Five matches are up on the site to take advantage of, so where can we find the goods?

Suggested Action For Bare Knuckle Boxing BKB7

Italian Luca Bergers also has a history on the pitch playing football in Fiorentina. He and Scott Midgley appear on the under card, both listed at -115. If you have to ask me to bet on Scott Midgley or Luca Bergers, my money goes to Mr. Midgley. Did you catch the bout with Andy Davies? Scott Midgley destroyed the poor lad.
Midgley’s history in bare Knuckle Boxing goes back a bit, and you can see a bunch of his vids on Youtube. The man is simply an animal, and $15 of juice is nothing to me.

Suggested Play 1:
Scott Midgley to win @ -115 over Luca Bergers

Unfortunately, Josh Burns is listed as a -150 favorite against Billy Hawthorn. Hawthorn is a little character that reminds me of a mini Butterbean. Josh Burns will have some trouble with reaching down to deal with Hawthorn, but Josh will have his way in the end. If you are not afraid of a little juice, the -150 on Burns is the winning bet.

There is definitely a nice little upset coming in the light heavy weight division. Kris Trezize is going to smack around Christian Evans for the duration of the match. Listed at +120, the value is there for me, especially since I don’t believe Evans is worth -150. I have seen enough of both guys now to settle on Trezize. On top of that, I just think that Evans’ age will also be a factor in the decision.

Suggested Play2:
Kris Trezize to win @ +120 over Christian Evans

Ricky Nelder has faced Evans before, but this weekend he will take on Joe Riggs. Riggs comes in as the biggest favorite of the event, listed at -185 to take out Nelder. With that kind of line, there is simply no value in that bout, unless you see Nelder surprising someone. I don’t see myself surprised, so we leave that bout alone.

The last lined match on the board at DSI, features middleweights Sean ‘Outlaw’ George and Nathan ‘Too Slick’ Leeson.
This is another spot I feel we could see an upset, because Sean George is an animal too.  At even money, I see Mr. George as the money maker, so grab that nice line.

Suggested Play 3:
Sean George to win @ +100 over Nathan Leeson

Be sure to tune in to the Bare Knuckle Boxing Youtube channel for updates and results. They will be posting the bouts over the weekend, so be sure to get in on the action at BETDSI. Diamond is one of the few sites on planet earth offering lines for Bare Knuckle Boxing. Check later in the week for updated lines, hoping other bouts hit the board as well.
