Baseball Picks: Detroit Tigers Favored at the Chicago White Sox on Sunday on TBS

Baseball Betting:  The Detroit Tigers will look to pick up another win against the Chicago White Sox on Sunday in a game that can be seen on TBS.  The Tigers should have Rick Porcello on the mound on Sunday and he has been really good this season, winning 15 games.  He allowed just two runs last time out in a win over the Yankees.  Here is a look at the matchup for Sunday and baseball picks.

Probable Pitchers – Porcello vs. Quintana

Rick Porcello has been a rock in a Detroit rotation that has a lot of stars.  He has a 3.06 ERA and he has 15 wins on the season.  Max Scherzer, David Price and Justin Verlander get most of the press, but Porcello has been just as dependable as those players and he has been much better than Verlander.

Jose Quintana has been solid for the most part this season without getting much in the way of results. His overall record is just 6-10 but he has a good ERA at 3.48.  He didn’t pitch well last time out and he has not been as good lately as he has allowed at least four runs in each of his last three starts.

Team Notes

The Tigers have been a solid road team this season as their road record is almost the same as their home mark. The team has a marquee starting rotation but they have been winning with offense as they are 3rd in the league in runs scored.  The White Sox have a losing home record, mainly because they have a poor pitching staff that ranks near the bottom of the league.

Series Notes

These teams had split their last ten meetings before this series began with the last three going over. The Tigers had taken six of the last ten in Chicago with two of the last three going over.

Baseball Picks

We’ll look for the Tigers to win this game on Sunday with Porcello on the mound and we’ll also go against the trends a bit and look for the game to go under the total.
