Bellator 150 Last Minute Odds For Friday’s Fights

Bellator 150 Last Minute Odds

Bellator 150 Last Minute Odds – The Bellator 150 event comes to us live from the Kansas Star Arena with a twelve-fight card that sees the main events air on Spike TV.

The big news is the last minute cancellation of the Marcos Galvao versus Eduardo Dantas main event. Galvao was defending the Bellator Bantamweight title against the former champion, but he was pulled form the fight at the weigh-ins after the doctors examined him.

Last week’s Bellator 149 event that featured Royce Gracie vs Ken Shamrock and Kimbo Slice versus Dada 5000 turned into a disaster, as both fights ended in embarassing fashion. The fact that Dada 5000 alomost died will likely not be mentioned on the Spike TV broadcast, but it will be interesting to see how they mention the show at all.

Bellator 150 was a competitive fight card with solid fights from the Bellator roster reserved for the Spike TV broadcast. The cancellation of the dantas-Galvao fights takes some of the luster off the card, but there are no questionable fights on this card at all.

The new main event is the Heavyweight bout between Cheick Kongo and Vinicius “Spartan” Queiroz. Kongo is 3 months from his 41st birthday, and though he keeps himself very fit, he has already shown his best days in the cage. Quieroz is still a bit of an unknown quantity.  His record stands at 8-3, and he went 0-1 in a cup of coffee with the UFC. With Bellator he has gone 3-1, but he has been inconsistent. He made his Bellator debut on October of 2012. after a two year layoff. A second fight in Bellator in Nov of 2012 resulted in a loss to Alexander Volkov, and he took 11 months off. He returned to beat Lavar Johnson in October of 2013, then took nearly two years off before returning last September with a win.

At Lightweight, veterans Bobby Cooper and David Rickels clash in a three round bout. Both veterans are looking for a win to build momentum, as Rickels lost his last outing, while Cooper is looking for a second win in a row.

UFC veteran Kendall Grove is in a Middleweight bout against Francisco France. Grove has alternated wins and losses since joining the Bellator roster, going 3-2. In his last outing, he defeated Joey Beltran, so Grove will be looking to break his pattern. France won his Belaltor debut last November, and he is riding a 5 fight winning streak overall.

WOmen’s Flyweight action is on tap as well, as Ukraine’s Lena Ovchynnikova faces Rebecca Ruth of the USA. This is the Bellator debut for both ladies, however Ovchynnikova goes into the fight with a distinct experience advantage. Ruth has faced strictly local level competition, where she has won three fights in a row, while Ovchynnikova has fought in events in India and in her home country of the Ukraine against a higher grade of competition.
