The Best Bets To Win The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The road to the U.S. Open continues with a stop at the site that will host this year’s major tournament with the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am set to take place this week in California, with the other two stages taking place at Spyglass Hill and Monterey Peninsula. While the Pebble Beach course needs no introduction as it’s been a U.S. Open host on five different occasions and has hosted the PGA Championship once, Spyglass is a little trickier as a larger tree-lined course, while Monterey is easily the most generous of the three courses. The field for this week’s tournament is pretty loaded with Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth and Phil Mickelson set to headline. We took the time to break down the best bets to win, including a look at the top favorites and some smart value picks. Here is a look at the best bets to win the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Event Details

Event: AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

Category: PGA

Date: February 7th-10th, 2018

Location: Pebble Beach, Monterey County, California

Past Five Winners

2018: Ted Potter Jr. -17

2017: Jordan Spieth -19

2016: Vaughn Taylor -17

2015: Brandt Snedeker -22

2014: Jimmy Walker -11

Dustin Johnson +505

D.J. is the obvious online sports betting favorite heading in to this tournament following his win overseas. The world No. 3 has won this title twice. Additionally, he has been the runner-up at this tournament another two times, while finishing in the top-eight on five other occasions. Johnson has thrived in bad weather over the course of his career and that could play a role here this week. While the value isn’t incredible, D.J. is clearly the best bet on the board for this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Jordan Spieth +2050

It seems like a long time ago that Spieth actually won this tournament. However, Spieth’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am win was only a couple of years ago in 2017, and there is every reason to think he can contend once again this week. It seems like only a matter of time before Spieth breaks through with another win. At +2050 odds, this might be the perfect opportunity to bet on Spieth to win outright.

Matt Kuchar +2050

Kuchar has been absolutely on fire over the past couple of weeks, so it’s hard to completely overlook him. However, the real question is how long can he keep this up? Is this the week that he finally slows down? Kuchar does have a pedestrian record at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am so maybe this is the week that he slows down.

Patrick Cantlay +1850

One more name to consider at +1200 odds is Cantlay, who will be looking to get over a rare missed cut at the Farmers in his last outing. Cantlay is three-for-three at Pebble Beach including a top-10 finish here in 2013. The only question is whether he can put his best together for a full four rounds and chase that elusive win this weekend. Cantlay certainly has a lot going for him this weekend so he might be worth taking a chance.

Phil Mickelson +2250

Mickelson is coming off a disappointing performance at TPC Scottsdale, so he should be motivated to get back on track this weekend. A four-time winner at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Mickelson is the all-time earnings leader at this event. A runner-up here in both 2016 and 2018, nobody will be surprised if Mickelson is in the mix again this weekend.

Chez Reavie +2250

The further down the board we go the better the value of the picks available. Reavie is one of those intriguing options at +2250 to win straight up. Coming off a T-3rd at Waialae and a T-4th at TPC Scottsdale, Reavie could be due for a victory with another strong performance in California this week. If you are looking to take a chance on a contender that has somewhat flown under the radar this week, Reavie might be a smart option.

Brandt Snedeker +4550

One of the better value bets on the board is Snedeker, who is being somewhat overlooked at a very attractive +4550 price tag. Simply put, Snedeker has had a lot of success here over the years and there isn’t any reason to think that trend won’t continue this time around. Snedeker has delivered two wins, an additional top-five finish and another top-20 finish here since 2013. Can he capture his third win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week? At +2800 odds, he is definitely worth taking a chance on.

Rafa Cabrera Bello +4550

If you are looking for a sleeper pick with excellent odds to win this weekend then Cabrera Bello might be the best option at +4550. Among the most consistent golfers on the PGA Tour, Cabrera Bello has delivered nine top-20 finishes in his last 13 starts overall. It seems like only a matter of time before he puts it all together and makes a serious run at an outright win. Is this the week it happens? At long odds to win, Cabrera Bello could be worth a small play as a sneaky good sleeper pick to win the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
