Betting Lines Posted For Western Conference Playoff Series

NBA

The NBA’s Western Conference has been outstanding to watch this season but really, what we’ve been waiting for is the postseason. Now that the matchups are set, BetDSI has posted betting lines for all of the series. Here’s a closer look at the matchups and the odds.

Houston Rockets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

Series Price: Rockets -5000

The Rockets had the best record in the league at 65-17, while the Timberwolves finished 47-35 and had to beat Denver in overtime in the regular-season finale to get here. James Harden of the Rockets will probably win the MVP award and he and Chris Paul helped Houston finish second in points scored, but they were also tied for sixth in points against. The Timberwolves were eighth in points scored and 17th in points allowed, and they are much better with Jimmy Butler healthy, but they have a long way to go defensively. Houston all four meetings between the two this season.

Golden State Warriors vs. San Antonio Spurs

Series Price: Warriors -1300

The Warriors finished 58-24 to come in second, while the Spurs were 47-35. The Warriors looked bored as the defending champions, they ranked 18th in points allowed and Stephen Curry could miss this series with a knee injury. But they still have Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and ranked first in points scored. The Spurs somehow got to the postseason without Kawhi Leonard and his quadriceps injury, but LaMarcus Aldridge was great this season and the Spurs were tied for first in points allowed. The Warriors won three of four against the Spurs this season, including both in San Antonio.

Portland Trailblazers vs. New Orleans Pelicans

Series Price: Trail Blazers -230

The Trailblazers stormed to the third seed with a 49-33 record, and the Pelicans finished 48-34. The Trailblazers were one of the best teams in the league after the All-Star break, and the backcourt of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum were fantastic. The Pelicans were supposed to fall off when DeMarcus Cousins went down with an Achilles injury, but Anthony Davis vaulted himself into the MVP conversation and carried New Orleans to the postseason. The Trailblazers and the Pelicans split their four meetings, with one win each at home and on the road.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Utah Jazz

Series Price: Thunder -135

The Thunder wrapped up the fourth seed with a record of 48-34, which was the same as the Jazz, who could have won home-court for this series had they beaten Portland on the final night of the regular season. Russell Westbrook averaged a triple-double for the second year in a row for the Thunder, who have been up and down this season and Paul George has been very good, but Carmelo Anthony has been a disappointment. The Jazz are tied for first in points allowed thanks to Rudy Gobert, while Donovan Mitchell and Quin Snyder are in the conversations for Rookie and Coach of the Year, respectively. The Thunder won three of four meetings with the Jazz this season, including the last three and that allowed Oklahoma City to take home-court for this series.
