Big 12 Again Dominates Games Of The Week Slate

Much of the college basketball world has been focused on the Big 12 this season as it seemed like Kansas would finally be dethroned and a new champion would be crowned. Well, the Jayhawks are once again on top of the conference and everyone else seems to be fighting for second place. Or, are they?

Kansas has a huge week in front of them, as they host West Virginia before making the trip to Norman for a date with the Sooners. While they have secured at least a share of the conference title, just one win would assure them sole possession.

Elsewhere across the country, Notre Dame heads to Louisville for a big time ACC showdown. Jerian Grant is still one of the country’s premier guards, yet people seem to have forgotten about him about Notre Dame’s 90-60 whipping at the hands of Duke a few weeks ago. Louisville has been working on life without Chris Jones, and their perimeter defense will be tested against the Irish.

Butler heads on the road to take on Providence in a battle for second place in the Big East behind Villanova. The Friars’ duo of LaDontae Henton and Kris Dunn is one of the most explosive in the country and will surely give the Bulldogs all they can handle. Without Chrabascz, Butler hasn’t yet looked the same, which is to be expected. Getting a big time road win here would certainly get their mojo back before the postseason begins.

In an under the radar match up, Temple hosts UConn in a big game that will help determine where the ultimately fall on the NCAA Tournament Bubble.
