Browns News: Jarvis Landry Says Truth Is Odell Beckham Wants To Be In Cleveland

Recently, we talked about the wreck the Cleveland Browns locker room has become. However, some of that was about quarterback Baker Mayfield.

Right now, the mainstream talk is about Odell Beckham Jr. allegedly wanting out of Cleveland; and his teammate Jarvis Landry doing some damage control on his behalf. On Thursday that continues, with Jake Trotter providing the full statement from Landry in a tweet.

Notably, Landry says that he thinks; or he knows that Beckham wants to be a Brown.

“I think he wants to be here,” Landry said. “I know he wants to be here. He doesn’t want to leave and he’s not trying to leave.”

The wide receiver continued, and remember that these two were teammates at LSU at the collegiate level before re-connecting in Cleveland for the 2019 season.

“It’s not even about trying to go somewhere else,” Landry said. “I think for him, he’s been a leader, he’s a guy that comes to work every day, he’s a guy that’s playing through injuries, all the things you want out of a player. Inside of this organization, he has a voice, he has responsibility to himself, to all of us, to go out there and compete each and every Sunday and he does that.”

Whatever the case, the Browns are in complete disarray as another season crawls towards the finish line. Obviously we will learn in the months to come what Beckham wants his Cleveland legacy to be, and if he will want to continue playing there.

However one thing is clear, Cleveland needs stability and where that will come from is anyone’s guess. There are more problems right now going on in the organization than we can begin to write about. This is just the one at the forefront for the moment.
