The Bulls come in on a high note after defeating the Saint Francis U Red Flash in their last matchup, 82-67. The Bulls had a much better turnover percentage (12.2 vs. 21.6) and had a better effective field goal percentage (0.479 vs. 0.409). With 16 points on 8-for-12 shooting, Nick Perkins led Buffalo in scoring.

West Virginia finished the regular season with a record of 24-10 last season, which earned them a five seed in the tournament. They made it to the Sweet 16, where they fell to the Villanova Wildcats.

On the other side, the Mountaineers were 24-10 SU and 15-16-1 ATS last season. Of the Mountaineers’ 32 games last year, 18 finished over the projected point total.

It might turn into a high-scoring affair as two of the nation’s premier offenses clash. Since last season, West Virginia ranks 28th with 113.9 points per 100 possessions and Buffalo was 22nd (114.5). Furthermore, the Bulls rank 53rd in turnover percentage (16.7 percent), while the Mountaineers rank third in opponents’ turnover percentage (23.7 percent).
