CFL Predictions – Will the Ottawa Redblacks get their First Win on Friday vs. the Toronto Argonauts?

CFL Betting:  The Ottawa Redblacks will be looking for their first-ever win as they host the Toronto Argonauts on Friday night.  The Redblacks could easily be 2-0 but they blew leads in each of their first two games so they are 0-2.  They will play their home opener on Friday as the host Toronto.  Here is a look at the matchup and CFL predictions.

RedBlacks Can’t Hold On

Ottawa comes into this game at 0-2 but they easily could be 2-0. They led for much of their first game against Winnipeg but lost 36-28 and last week they led Edmonton before a late collapse in a 27-11 loss.  The Redblacks simply couldn’t finish. “It’s always tough to lose,” said RedBlacks coach Rick Campbell, “We’re disappointed. Two weeks in a row we’ve been up at halftime and we haven’t been able to find a way to get it done. It’s tough right now, but it is a long season. There’s a lot of football to be played. We’re going to have to watch the film and find ways to get better.”

If the RedBlacks are to win on Friday they have to get something out of their offense.  “We didn’t play very well offensively,” said RedBlacks quarterback Henry Burris, “We find ways to make plays at certain times and then we come back and sputter. We have the capabilities of being a very good offence, but until we play consistent, good football, we’re going to make it harder for ourselves all the time.”

Toronto Argonauts 1-2 SU, 1-2 ATS

The Argos have played one really good game and two poor ones.  They were blown off the field last wee by the Calgary Stampeders and that was at home. Now the team goes on the road for three straight beginning with this game on Friday in Ottawa.

Game Notes

The Argos have been solid on the road against the spread recently as they are 13-4-1 ATS in their last 18 road games. They have gone over the total in 5 of their last 7 road contest.

CFL Predictions

We’ll make two plays in this one and take the Redblacks and the game over the total.
