Champions League DFS Lineup For Tuesday

The Champions League quarterfinals continue on Tuesday with the second legs for two matchups. Atletico Madrid will look to finish off Leicester City with a one-goal lead on aggregate while Real Madrid owns a 2-1 edge heading in to its second leg against Bayern Munich. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for this Tuesday’s DraftKings Champions League daily fantasy leagues.

GK: Jan Oblak, Atletico Madrid

Salary: $5,300

Oblak didn’t need to make a single save to deliver the clean sheet victory in the first leg against Leicester City. He will likely face at least a couple of shots in the second leg so it will be on him to deliver the same result. Atletico Madrid should be able to keep the Leicester City attack in check once again. If Oblak can shut the door on the couple of chances his club does concede then he could be in line for another clean sheet win.

D: Philipp Lahm, Bayern Munich

Salary: $3,500

Bayern Munich will be in tough to complete the comeback from down 2-1 against Real Madrid. They should approach this game with a sense of urgency and that could mean plenty of instances where Lahm pushes forward from his defense position. Bayern will need a complete effort in order to come back in this matchup and that should lead to a strong performance from Lahm.

D: Stefan Savic, Atletico Madrid

Salary: $3,100

Savic played the full 90 minutes in the opening leg versus Leicester City and should be in line to play the full match again on Tuesday. While he isn’t known for his offense, Savic is a quality defender that is available at a very reasonable price in DraftKings competitions.

M: Arjen Robben, Bayern Munich

Salary: $7,100

Robben was fairly quiet for Bayern Munich in the opening leg despite playing the full 90 minutes. We expect a much more dynamic performance from him in the second leg. Robben is available at just over $7K, which makes him a very reasonable option in DraftKings competitions for Tuesday.

M: Arturo Vidal, Bayern Munich

Salary: $5,500

Vidal scored Bayern Munich’s lone goal in its opening leg with Real Madrid. He will likely need another strong performance in order for his club to pull out the comeback. This matchup should be the higher scoring of the two on Tuesday so we have no problem loading up on players from that contest.

F: Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid

Salary: $10,000

There is no lineup for Tuesday that should be completed without Ronaldo, who led Real Madrid with two goals in the opening leg. Ronaldo has the potential to score goals in bunches and after resting this past weekend he should be in peak form for the Spanish side. Real Madrid has averaged 2.67 goals per game in Champs league action.

F: Antoine Griezmann, Atletico Madrid

Salary: $8,600

While Ronaldo looks to seal the deal for Real Madrid, it will be Griezmann looking to help Spanish side Atletico in to the semi final round. Griezmann has been Atletico’s most dynamic scorer all season and he is the perfect compliment to Ronaldo up front.

Atletico Madrid has been an average team in terms of offense when it comes to fantasy. They have averaged just 1.33 goals per game so far. We’ll see if they can up those numbers on Tuesday with a strong offensive performance. That would likely lead to a good day for Grizmann.

FLEX: Riyad Mahrez, Leicester City

Salary: $6,800

Our final FLEX position goes to our first entry from Leicester City in Mahrez. Leicester will have a tough time breaking through against Atletico but if they do find a way it will likely be Mahrez leading the attack. Mahrez has the potential to produce a strong fantasy scorer every time he takes the field. At under $7K, he is worth taking a chance on here as the player with the highest potential of those that we can still afford in our final FLEX position.

Leicester City has struggled to score so far in the Champions League but it hasn’t really affected them. They have averaged just 1.11 goals per game.
