As the final matchweek of the UEFA Champions League group stage approaches, six Premier League clubs remain in contention, with varying paths to the knockout rounds. While several have already secured progression or sit in strong positions, others enter the final round needing positive results or assistance from other fixtures to advance.

Manchester City have continued their strong performance in Europe, remaining unbeaten in their group. Their consistent form has already sealed a place in the round of 16, allowing manager Pep Guardiola some flexibility in rotating his squad for the final group match.

Arsenal, under Mikel Arteta, have also confirmed progression to the next stage. Solid wins earlier in the campaign positioned them at the top of their group, and they benefit from a superior goal difference. Their final fixture may determine whether they advance as group leaders, which would potentially provide a more favorable draw in the knockout stage.

Liverpool are currently in a good position but have not yet officially qualified. A draw or win in their final group match would be sufficient to secure advancement. If they lose, their progression would depend on the outcome of the other match in the group, along with goal difference scenarios.

Tottenham Hotspur’s campaign is more precarious. They must win their final match to ensure qualification, and even that may not be enough depending on goal differential or head-to-head records if multiple teams finish on equal points. A draw would leave them vulnerable to elimination based on other results.

Chelsea and Newcastle United face more challenging scenarios. Both clubs require not only wins in their final matches but also assistance from other teams. Newcastle, in particular, are contending with a tight group and unfavorable goal difference. Chelsea’s pathway is clearer but still demands a combination of outcomes.

As the group stage concludes, focus will be on whether all six Premier League teams can advance, continuing England’s strong representation in the competition. Their performances so far have underlined the depth and quality of the league, but the final matchweek will be crucial in determining who moves forward.
