Cincinnati Reds – Milwaukee Brewers Preview – 08.14.2016

In a game that could be a shootout, Cody Reed (0-6, 6.36 ERA) and the Cincinnati Reds (48-67) are in Milwaukee to square off against Wily Peralta (4-8, 6.38 ERA) and the Brewers (51-64). This is the last of a three-game series at Miller Park. The Reds won the last game 11-5, and Cincinnati leads the series 2-0. Action begins at 2:10 p.m. ET on Sunday, Aug. 14 and can be seen on FSWI and FSOH.

Peralta pitched 6.0 innings in his last outing, surrendering two runs, striking out six and walking three in a 2-1 defeat to the Braves. Ryan Braun (.323, 58 Rs, 20 HRs, 59 RBIs, 13 SBs) had another good game yesterday, going 2 for 5 with two runs, one home run, and one RBI. Reed went 6.0 innings, surrendering zero runs, striking out four and walking one in a 5-4 defeat to the Cardinals in his most recent start. Adam Duvall (.247, 64 Rs, 27 HRs, 76 RBIs, 4 SBs) has been successful at the plate, going 2 for 4 yesterday with one run and one RBI.

Milwaukee is a slim -112 favorite at home against Cincinnati. The matchup has an estimated Over/Under (O/U) of nine runs. The Brewers have an overall money line of -666 and a record as the favorite of 18-17. Milwaukee is a disappointing 2-5 as the favorite over its last 10 games.
