Round 2 of the 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club is complete, and Wyndham Clark broke the 36-hole scoring record for a U.S. Open at Shinnecock while opening a four-shot advantage heading into the weekend, according to ESPN.
Clark sits at 7 under par through 36 holes. Tied for second at 3 under are Xander Schauffele, Taeyoon Kim, Sam Stevens and Matt Fitzpatrick, ESPN reported.
Collin Morikawa is two shots off the lead at 2 under. A group at 1 under includes Scottie Scheffler, S. Theegala, Justin Thomas, Hunter Higgs and Sam Burns, according to ESPN’s round coverage and leaderboard information.
Even-par scores through Friday feature a long list of players, among them M. McNealy, S. Scheffler, R. Hisatsune, A. Fitzpatrick, W. Mouw, A. Bhatia, K. Mitchell, Rory McIlroy, B. Harman, R. Cowan and G. Woodland, per ESPN.
