Football players are tough, and the toughness of quarterbacks is often underrated. Hawaii quarterback Cole McDonald shared an example of just how tough quarterbacks can be in a wide-ranging interview with the Maui News on Friday. McDonald revealed that he strained his MCL in the Rainbow Warriors’ first game this season, but that pales in comparison to what he went through after the San Jose State game. Internal bleeding caused him to miss the next week’s game against Wyoming, yet it was the only game he missed all year. Cole McDonald proved that he is as tough as they come, and he could throw for more than 5,000 yards in Nick Rolovich’s offense in 2019.

Virginia is coming off an 8-5 season (its best mark since 2011), but the Cavaliers’ ticket sales have been lagging. The school has decided to get patriotic with its ticket sales, offering them for the price of the year the United States declared independence, and it’s interesting to see how far one of these three schools has fallen. Just a few years ago, a ticket to any Florida State game was a hot commodity. However, two straight seasons of middling football in Tallahassee have taken the shine off the Seminoles, and fans aren’t as excited to see them in action.
🇺🇸🇺🇸We are still celebrating Independence Day‼️🇺🇸🇺🇸
William & Mary, Florida State or ODU single-game tickets can be purchased for just $17.76. Promo Code: 1⃣7⃣7⃣6⃣

The Belk Bowl Twitter account is one of the best follows in the sport. It’s in peak form during the season, but the account runner is definitely feeling the love after the United States beat the Netherlands to win the World Cup on Sunday.
<looks around>
<whispers>
“Just for today….⚽️ > 🏈”
<starts a USA chant>

Reddit is feeling the love too and has made a call that should be heeded by every other country. As long as the United States are world champions, the term football should not be used to describe soccer. Just call it soccer like the world champions.
Since the US won, the rest of the world has to call it Soccer now. No conflict here. 🇺🇲⚽🏆 https://t.co/RJUBpsy0L0
