With another great week of games on the college football schedule of the season to cover, Adam Burke and Kyle Hunter were excited and in top form on this week’s edition of the BangTheBook.com College Football Podcast. With two huge SEC matchups and key games from the Pac-12 and Big 12 covered in depth, along with the informative “Quick-Hitters” segment, and market analysis in the “Inside the Lines” segment, listeners were armed with all the knowledge they need to bang the books this weekend.

The guys from the College Football Podcast were excited to announce the return of Handicapping the Hardwood, the tremendous college basketball podcast that got rave reviews last season. They started after college football last season, but they’re going to start this season from the first week so that listeners will get all the best information each week throughout the season. The first show will be on November 10, so make sure to keep an ear out for that!

The Quick-Hitters segment is a good way to kick off the show because injuries and personnel changes often explain some of the line moves that have happened this week. Working in conjunction with the Inside the Lines segment, things that bettors need to know that can be easily overlooked are laid out with top-notch analysis. Basically, think of it like cause and effect. The Quick-Hitter points are the cause and the effects explained by two guys with over 25 years of handicapping experience.

Under the radar games are something that Adam and Kyle push on both the College Football Podcast and Handicapping the Hardwood, their college basketball podcast, and the line moves segment features a lot of these because those are the games that move the most from week-to-week.

This week, four games were put under the microscope, beginning with the SEC West matchup between the Auburn Tigers and the Ole Miss Rebels. Ole Miss enters this game with a chance to knock off a second highly-ranked opponent at home, but injuries have changed the complexion of this game a bit. What are those injuries and what impact will they have? They were discussed both in the breakdown of this game, as well as in the Quick-Hitters segment, so listeners could not have missed that big news. What other angles are at play in this game and will a quarterback questioning his coach have an impact on the game? Tune in to find out!

Moving away from the SEC, there are a couple of interesting Pac-12 games on the card this week, beginning with a Stanford vs. Oregon rematch. The Ducks have lost two in a row in this series and there has been a big line move on the Cardinal for this week’s game. Do the guys agree with the move?

Continuing on the Stanford-Oregon game, it seems that there could be a coaching battle in this game between David Shaw and Mark Helfrich. Does one side have an advantage? If not, where do the advantages lie in this matchup? It’s a big game with huge College Football Playoff implications for Oregon. Listen to this week’s show and subscribe to us on iTunes so you never miss any of the great audio content we have at BangTheBook, including our NFL podcast, The Gridiron Gambling Report.

Staying with the Pac-12, there’s a big game in the desert between ranked teams as Arizona State hosts Utah. The Utes were discussed at length on last week’s show and they pop up again this week, but there’s a different approach to be taken. Adam has a very strong play on this game and Kyle has a strong lean on the total. Listeners would be wise to pay attention to the thoughts on this game because they could make some money.

Finally, College Gameday heads to Morgantown for a key battle between the TCU Horned Frogs and West Virginia Mountaineers. Both guys are excited to talk about this game, but are they excited to play it? This is a very interesting battle with two of the most improved quarterbacks in the game in Trevone Boykin and Clint Trickett. Who has the edge in this game and will there be couches set ablaze? (Spoiler alert: Win or lose, yes!)

In this week’s pick-six segment, free picks were given out on six of this week’s more compelling games, including an under-the-radar MAC contest with a strong opinion from Kyle. The show ended with Kyle’s exclusive free pick for podcast listeners.
