College World Series Odds Released As Bracket Announced

Baseball

While most of the sporting world focuses in on the championship rounds of the NBA and NHL, the college baseball fans will be excited by the return of the College World Series. We now know the 64 teams that will be participating as well as the seedings and the bracket.

There are some intriguing regions and the biggest question that’s come up now that we know the brackets is which region is the deepest? The Oxford appears to take the crown in that category as they have Mississippi, Tennessee Tech, Missouri State and Saint Louis. Those four teams combined for a record of 171-57, which is an incredible winning percentage of .750.

If you’re looking for a sleeper team, keep an eye on the No. 3 seeds. Six of the last seven Divisional I championships have seen at least two No. 3 seeds in the Super Regionals. 2013 was the only year where that didn’t happen. Who are the best bets from this year’s crop? Texas A&M, who played in the challenging SEC, and Cal State Fullerton are two that come to mind.

In terms of the best storylines from the conferences, there were 19 that produced just one team. It will be interesting to see if any of those one-bid conference teams can make a run. Cal State Fullerton and Gonzaga will definitely be among the favorites from that crop to make some noise. And beyond those one-bid conferences, can the Big Ten make a mark on the College World Series? We haven’t seen a Big Ten school past the regional round since 2014. This year, they’ve produced a No. 1 seed (Minnesota), a pair of No. 2’s (Purdue and Indiana), and a No. 3 (Ohio State). There is pressure on them to final make a deep run.

Of course, the most entertaining part is when the final eight teams gather in Omaha. That action will get underway on June 16th. BetDSI will have odds on every single game, including futures to win it all.
