The Fordham Rams (9-10, 0-6 A10) will try to snap their seven-game losing streak when they square off against the Dayton Flyers (12-7, 4-2 A10) at Rose Hill Gym. The game gets underway at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 26, 2019.

Dayton Flyers vs. Fordham Rams ATS Prediction

The last time the Flyers played, they were defeated by the George Mason Patriots, 67-63. One of George Mason’s biggest advantages was their ability to convert at the free throw line. They were 13-16 (81.3 percent), while the Flyers were just 5-9 (55.6 percent). Josh Cunningham was the game’s high scorer with 15 points on 6-for-9 shooting.

The Rams lost a close one to the La Salle Explorers in their last outing, 73-71. La Salle’s effective field goal percentage was their biggest advantage over Fordham. The Explorers had a rate of 0.654 (above their season average of 0.459), while the Rams posted a mark of 0.484. With 22 points on 6-for-15 shooting, Antwon Portley was the game’s high scorer.

After the Flyers won the only contest against the Rams last season, 80-70, this will be the first matchup of the year between these two teams. Dayton did a terrific job of converting from the charity stripe (13-17; 76.5 percent). Fordham, meanwhile, had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (30.3 vs. 25.0).

Half-court execution will be critical when a pair of the country’s slowest-paced teams clash. Fordham currently ranks 315th in possessions per game (66.5) and Dayton is 262nd (68.1).
