DeMarcus Cousins tore his quad, 76ers Tie Playoff Record and More

The Golden State Warriors suffered a historic defeat to the Los Angeles Clippers and not only did they lose the game, but they also lost DeMarcus Cousins to a quad injury. Also, Philadelphia scored 51 points in the third quarter against Brooklyn, while Zion Williamson made the official announcement he is ready for the NBA Draft.

DeMarcus Cousins sustained a torn left quadriceps in a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers and will likely miss the remainder of the season. Golden State announced that he’s out for an indefinite period of time and will begin rehabilitation immediately. Cousins’ non-contact injury occurred while he was pursuing a loose ball in the opening quarter of the 135-131 defeat to the Clippers.

76ers tie record for playoff quarter with 51 points | ESPN

The Philadelphia 76ers disappointed in a Game 1 defeat to the Brooklyn Nets and they had just a one=point lead at halftime in Game 2, so head coach Brett Brown had to react in the locker room and motivate his players the best way he knows. They responded with 51 points in the third quarter, tying the NBA Playoff record for most points in a quarter.

Zion declares for the draft after ‘best year’ of life | ESPN

Duke Blue Devils’ freshman Zion Williamson, the consensus player of the year, officially declared his eligibility for the upcoming NBA draft, saying on his Instagram page that it had been the “best year” of his life.

Virginia’s Guy declares for NBA draft | ESPN

Virginia Cavaliers’ junior guard Kyle Guy also announced that he is ready to enter the NBA draft this June and that he will hire an agent. Guy helped the Cavaliers win the NCAA Championship game with 24 points, while he averaged 15.4 points per game in 2018-19.

Not only did his Los Angeles Clippers came from behind to record a historic win over Golden State Warriors, but Doc Rivers had the luck to encounter a man who returned his dropped money on the street of San Francisco.

“Shout out to the San Francisco person who at the corner today, I was walking down the street — this is a true story — I reached in my pocket to grab my phone, unbeknownst to me I dropped about two grand on the street, kept walking, didn’t know it. A guy tapped me on the back and said, ‘That’s your money.'”
