Al Horford stands as the top option as the Celtics travel to Chicago tonight. Horford is projected 35.18 FanDuel points to rank ahead of Myles Turner and Marcin Gortat. Turner offers a heightened value over the rest of the position, though he will be challenged by the Wizards frontcourt. Owners will be stressed to find strong value from the lower tiers, forcing them to focus on the higher priced options.
Brook Lopez was nearly unstoppable on the offensive end despite Brooklyn again falling short in the end. Lopez was the game’s top scorer as he finished with 36 points on 12-20 shooting with 6 three pointers. The expansion of his jump shot has created a higher ceiling for performances like last night. His defensive effort was nearly as impactful as he blocked 8 shots. Lopez continues to be one of the few reliable options in Brooklyn and he proved that with a position high 60.3 FanDuel points last night.
Alexis Ajinca played well on both ends of the floor as New Orleans came away with a road win over the Grizzlies. Ajinca played 35 minutes as Omer Asik continue to wait on the sidelines. He recorded a double-double with 12 points on 3-6 shooting and 10 rebounds mainly coming on the defensive end. His impact on defense went further as he forced five turnovers in the win. Ajinca played above his price level with a 8.85 value to lead all centers.
High Tier Pick ($8,000 – $7,000)
Al Horford – $7000 – 35.175 Points
Al Horford stands in as the number one High tier option with a 33.10 fantasy average each night. The Celtics will be facing the Bulls on the road this evening. Chicago has been stout against the position as they rank 8th versus opposing centers. Horford has proven to be a consistent option for the Celtics on both ends of the floor. He is a valuable scorer that covers any deficiencies with strong production as a passer and occasional rebounder. The limiting aspect of his production is inconsistency that results in limited value against stronger matchups.
Middle Tier ($7,000 – $5,000)
Myles Turner – $6500 – 33.899 Points
Myles Turner plays as one of the top value options with an average of 30.38 fantasy points per night. The Pacers will take on the Wizards at home this evening. Washington has been strong against opposing centers with the 9th ranking defense in the league. Turner has made great strides on the offensive end with valuable production from the opportunity. Adding similar upside on the interior as a rim protector, he offers a safe floor that yields consistent value. The limiting factor for Turner’s value is that he struggles to rebound against more capable centers.
Low Tier ( -$5,000)
Robin Lopez – $4700 – 23.192 Points
Robin Lopez is one of the better Low tier options available this evening with a 21.83 fantasy average this year. Chicago faces Boston at the United Center tonight. The Celtics offer a favorable matchup as they rank 21st against opposing centers. Lopez offers a difficult makeup for owners as his greatest value comes on the defensive end. The veteran center has struggled as a scorer throughout his career, forcing owners to rely on rebounds and miscellaneous production. The Celtics have struggled on the interior which may yield greater opportunity for Lopez this evening.
