Karl-Anthony Towns is the top power forward option as he tries to repeat his success against the Rockets. Towns leads the position in both points and value for tonight. Houston has been generally strong against big men this season, but Towns exposed them in the earlier matchup. His Elite price tag will be a bit concerning as the position has been underwhelming over the past couple of weeks. Owners can find cheaper alternatives in Gorgui Dieng and Ryan Anderson. Outside of the one feature game, Joel Embiid and Kevin Love provide some of the higher available potential.
Al-Farouq Aminu delivered a strong effort on the interior as the Trail Blazers took down the Lakers for the 10th consecutive time. Aminu was limited in offensive opportunity, scoring 8 points on 6 shots. His value stemmed from efforts on the defensive end as he collected 15 rebounds and blocked 3 shots. Aminu has seen mixed results this season, but his 38.25 DraftKings points were the high point for true power forwards on Tuesday.
Bobby Portis offered important minutes off the bench as Chicago fell at Washington. Portis played 18 minutes with the second unit as he nearly collected a double-double. He was an efficient shooter, going 5-8 from the floor with 13 points and 3 3PM. Portis also found success on the glass, grabbing 7 rebounds in his limited action. His 8.25 value ranked as the high point for all power forwards, making him one of the top plays of the night.

Elite Tier Pick (+$8,500)
Karl-Anthony Towns – $9500 – 58.86 Points
Standing as the top Elite option, Karl-Anthony Towns has averaged 45.1 fantasy points a game. He and the Timberwolves will take on the Rockets at home this evening. Houston has been stout against the position this season, ranking 7th in the league. Despite facing a strong defense, Towns was nearly unstoppable in the previous matchup with the Rockets. He recorded 41 points and 16 rebounds in the close loss. Towns’ consistency is the most notable part of his game, but it is easy to forget the explosiveness he can provide on any given night. He remains the favorite against a team that is traveling for their second game in as many days.
High Tier Pick ($8,500 – $7,000)
Joel Embiid – $8000 – 45.084 Points
Joel Embiid stands in as the number one High tier option with a 36.7 fantasy average each night. The 76ers will be facing the Knicks in Philadelphia this evening. New York has been above-average against the position as they rank 12th versus opposing power forwards. Tonight will be the first meeting between the two divisional opponents this season. Embiid continues to be the frontrunner for Rookie of the year as a consistent producer for the Sixers. With two days of rest following their last game, he will likely not be held out for rest. The training staff has remained strict on Embiid’s minute limit this season.
Middle Tier ($7,000 – $5,000)
Gorgui Dieng – $5400 – 29.83 Points
Gorgui Dieng plays as one of the top value options with an average of 27.3 fantasy points per night. The Timberwolves will take on the Rockets at home this evening. Houston has been strong against opposing power forwards with the 7th ranking defense in the league. While Karl-Anthony Towns saw consistent success against the Rockets, Dieng was slowed in the previous matchup. His opportunities were limited as he finished with just 4 points and 6 rebounds. He provides a limited ceiling, but the regular production has made him a consistent value option.
Low Tier ( -$5,000)
Jason Smith – $3000 – 15.811 Points
Jason Smith is one of the better punt options available this evening with a 9.0 fantasy average this year. Washington faces Boston at TD Garden tonight. The Celtics offer a beneficial matchup as they rank 25th against opposing power forwards. Smith saw very limited playing time in the previous matchup with Boston. He has become a more regular contributor and could see a big opportunity tonight. Both teams are playing the second game of a back-to-back, thinning out an already weak Boston frontcourt.
