Markieff Morris should again see an edge over an undersized and worn out Boston frontcourt. Morris ranks third on tonight’s chart with 35.96 DraftKings points. He is well below the leader LeBron James, but his 6.42 value is unmatched by any other small forward. His ability to play the four will allow him to take advantage of a weak spot within the Celtics’ rotation. Owners that are worried about his production will still have alternatives with Andrew Wiggins and Carmelo Anthony offering safe value.
LeBron James turned in another strong outing as his team struggles continue in Utah. One of his teams has not won in Utah since 2010. James shouldered the load on offense with a game high 29 points on 20 shots. He produced in his usual all-around fashion with 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. James has struggled with turnovers as of late, but his 54.25 DraftKings points remained the high point for small forwards. He remains the top option at the position despite regularly holding the highest price.
Taurean Prince saw extended playing time in the blowout win over the Nets. Atlanta surged to a twenty-point victory, leaving Prince to play 20 minutes off the bench. He lacked efficiency shooting 2-6 with 2 turnovers, but he worked his way onto the stat sheet. Recording 8 points and 6 rebounds, he also tallied a steal and two blocks on the defensive end. His overall production was limited, but his 7.66 value was the best for the position as he led the way for punt options.
Kawhi Leonard was the lead man for San Antonio as they surprisingly fell to the Bucks at home. Leonard was the game’s leading scorer with 30 points on only 16 shots. He delivered his usual versatile line, adding 7 rebounds, 3 steals, 3 blocks, and 2 assists. The array of production resulted in 54.25 DraftKings points to tie with LeBron James for the position high. Some would argue Leonard was the better option as his 6.86 value was the second best mark of the night.

Elite Tier Pick (+$8,500)
LeBron James – $9700 – 45.968 Points
Standing as the top Elite option, LeBron James has averaged 52.1 fantasy points a game. He and the Cavaliers will take on the Trail Blazers on the road this evening. Portland has been average against the position this season, ranking 17th in the league. James recorded a triple-double in the earlier meeting this season. His 31 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds were crucial in a high scoring affair. The Cavaliers are playing their fourth game in a row and legs may be growing tired. Expect the team to once again look to their leader for demonstration by example.
High Tier Pick ($8,500 – $7,000)
Carmelo Anthony – $7600 – 42.912 Points
Carmelo Anthony stands in as the number one High tier option with a 37.2 fantasy average each night. The Knicks will be facing the 76ers on the road this evening. Philadelphia has been middle-of-the-pack against the position as they rank 15th versus opposing small forwards. Tonight will be the first meeting between the two divisional opponents. Anthony has seen a heavy amount of criticism lately, often answering it with strong performances. Some of the critics have merit as Anthony has seen extreme highs and lows in the past weeks with his play. Coming off an average night the last time out, he may looks to reaffirm his spot in New York with a big outing.
Middle Tier ($7,000 – $5,000)
Markieff Morris – $5600 – 35.964 Points
Markieff Morris plays as one of the top value options with an average of 26.0 fantasy points per night. The Wizards will take on the Celtics at TD Garden this evening. Boston has been struggling against opposing small forwards with the 25th ranking defense in the league. Morris saw limited action in the previous matchup with the Celtics. The large deficit resulted in minimal playing time for the small forward. His size should present an issue for the undersized frontcourt. Though he has limited potential, increased opportunity makes him a top value option.
Low Tier ( -$5,000)
Maurice Harkless – $4000 – 22.791 Points
Maurice Harkless is one of the better punt options available this evening with a 23.7 fantasy average this year. Portland faces Cleveland at home tonight. The Cavaliers offer a dream matchup as they rank 27th against opposing small forwards. Harkless turned in a fair outing when the teams first met this year. He recorded 11 points and 7 rebounds as the Trail Blazers let the game get away. The team should have the edge at home facing a team that is playing their fourth consecutive game on the road. If Harkless can find an edge on the glass early, look for him to play as one of the best punt options for tonight.
