Kentavious Caldwell-Pope played as a valuable wing option for the Pistons in a sizeable win over the Suns. Caldwell-Pope saw 33 minutes of action with his main impact coming on the offensive side of the ball. He scored 23 points on 8-14 shooting with 5 three-pointers while also adding 8 assists. Despite limited production on the defensive end, he finished with a team-high +26 rating. Caldwell-Pope ranked as one of the position’s top options with 37.6 FanDuel points and a 8.17 value on his lower tiered salary.
Buddy Hield had the second highest value on the night for any shooting guard with 7.61 he had a great line with 18pt 5rb 5as 1st 2trey 8-14fg good enough for 33.5 FanDuel points.
Buddy Hield has found a favorable role with the Kings despite a deep list of guards on the active roster. Hield played 32 minutes against the Spurs as Sacramento fell by 16 points on the road. He matched Willie Cauley-Stein with 18 points on 8-14 shooting and 2 three pointers. His production was furthered with 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal as well. Elite Tier Pick (+$8,500)
James Harden – $12200 – 55.961 Points
Standing as the top Elite option, James Harden has averaged 53.79 fantasy points a game. He and the Rockets will take on the Nuggets at home this evening. Denver has been sub-par against the position this season, ranking 17th in the league. Harden is coming off two consecutive 40-point triple-doubles as he ensures the Rockets remain in the three seed in the West. He is a viable option against any opponent as a key contributor for Houston on both ends of the field. His stat line would be marveled at if it were not for Russell Westbrook given the 29/11/8 is less than a triple-double. The Nuggets have been decimated by opposing ball handlers this year, making it very possible Harden delivers at the same top level tonight.
High Tier Pick ($8,500 – $7,000)
Nicolas Batum – $7100 – 34.54 Points
Nicolas Batum stands in as the number one High tier option with a 32.54 fantasy average each night. The Hornets will be facing the Hawks at the Spectrum Center this evening. Atlanta has been among the worst in the league against the position as they rank 27th versus opposing shooting guards. Batum is a viable option from the High tier as his lower salary may yield fair value. He plays well on both ends of the floor as a scorer, passer and rebounder. The Hawks continue to struggle defending the perimeter, allowing Batum to offer greater upside at home.
Middle Tier ($7,000 – $5,000)
Evan Fournier – $5400 – 28.08 Points
Evan Fournier plays as one of the top value options with an average of 25.34 fantasy points per night. The Magic will take on the 76ers at home this evening. Philadelphia has been average against opposing shooting guards with the 15th ranking defense in the league. Fournier’s name is appearing more consistently now that he has found a rhythm alongside Terrence Ross. The former Raptor took the offense by storm when he initially arrived, but the two wings have found a playable balance. Fournier remains limited as a one-dimensional option, but an pedestrian 76ers’ defense allows him to play as a value option.
Low Tier ( -$5,000)
Jamal Crawford – $3700 – 19.656 Points
Jamal Crawford is one of the better Low tier options available this evening with a high potential fantasy average this year. Los Angeles faces New York at the Staples Center tonight. The Knicks offer a decent matchup as they rank inconsistently against opposing shooting guards. Crawford has seen his name pop up at random points this season with a general drop in his production this year. The veteran is a valuable option off the bench as an isolation scorer, but the Clippers play best through Austin Rivers and J.J. Redick. The Knicks’ have seen limited production on the defensive end, making Crawford a targetable option at a near minimum price.
