The shift in Philadelphia’s line marks a steady improvement: the club fell to 25-1 in late April, was 22-1 a week ago and is now sixth on the odds board, just ahead of the Tampa Bay Rays at 17-1, DraftKings reports.
Tampa Bay opened the year near 100-1 and has shortened to contender levels after posting the best record in the American League through almost the first two months. BetMGM had reported that the Rays drew the lowest percentages of tickets and handle to win the World Series prior to the season.
Atlanta has moved slightly from +900 to +850 on the DraftKings board, while Chicago’s number lengthened from +950 to 11-1 after the Cubs cooled off from a hot streak, DraftKings shows.
