Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

It will be a battle between A10 opponents when the Richmond Spiders (7-9, 1-2 A10) welcome the Duquesne Dukes (11-5, 2-1 A10) to the Robins Center. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, January 16, 2019.

Duquesne Dukes vs. Richmond Spiders Betting Prediction

The Dukes come in on a high note after just getting past the Saint Joseph’s Hawks in their last contest, 85-84. Duquesne was lights out from beyond the arc (13-29; 44.8 percent). Saint Joseph’s, meanwhile, had a better turnover percentage (14.5 vs. 15.9). With 17 points on 6-for-9 shooting, Michael Hughes was Duquesne’s leading scorer.

The last time the Spiders were in action, they easily got past the George Washington Colonials, 76-56. The Spiders made 21 of their 27 free throws (77.8 percent) and had an effective field goal percentage of 0.640 (above their season average of 0.533). Nathan Cayo was the top scorer from either team with 18 points on 5-for-7 shooting from the field.

After the Spiders won both meetings against the Dukes last season, these teams will clash for the first time this year. In the last contest, Richmond won 81-68. The Spiders had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (29.2 vs. 18.8) and had a better free throw rate (0.383 vs. 0.294).

Ball security could play a significant role in this showdown. Richmond commits the 33rd-fewest miscues in the nation (turnover percentage of 16.3 percent), while the pesky defense of Duquesne forces the 27th-most (opponents’ turnover percentage of 23.6 percent).
