Eagles News: Philly Fans React to Loss Against Dolphins

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles fell to the hapless Miami Dolphins 31-37 on Sunday, dropping their record to 5-7 on the year and falling one game behind the Cowboys in the NFC East race. It’s pretty safe to say fans were not happy about it.

Philly fans took to social media to voice their frustrations with the team, who have now gone 15-15 since winning Super Bowl LII.

Some fans were so upset that they started a petition to make the Eagles walk home from Miami.

“The Eagles are an absolute embarrassment and have done us wrong this entire season,” the petition says. “They deserve to be punished and should not be allowed to fly home in comfort.”

Even notes Cowboys fan Skip Bayless threw in his two cents:

In all fairness to Carson Wentz, he wasn’t the one who let the Dolphins score 37 points. He didn’t play that badly, throwing for 310 yards and three touchdowns.

The Eagles have had a pretty long Super Bowl hangover though. It might be time for the organization to start thinking about whether they want to rest on that memory of winning a ring, or if changes might be needed to stay in contention for continued success.
