The first few days of 2018 are reserved for some exciting English Premier League soccer, and here on GetMoreSports you can check out our preview for the Round 22 matches and get free betting picks and predictions.

BRIGHTON vs. BOURNEMOUTH

3-Way: 1: Brighton +136; X: +214 Draw; 2: Bournemouth +236 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread 0: Brighton -153; Bournemouth +131

Total +2: Over -128; Under +110

BRIGHTON

The Seagulls earned a nil-nil draw with Newcastle in the previous round, second in the last five matches, but their attacking play is quite poor, as they scored just one goal on those five occasions. They are currently in the 12th spot of the Premier League table with 22 points and 15:25 goal difference, while at home they’ve won just once in the last five encounters. In the previous ten Seagulls’ Premier League games we saw more than two goals just twice – against Liverpool (1:5) and Stoke (2:2), both times at AMEX Stadium.

Injuries and suspensions: Steve Sidwell (back)

Head-to-head: These two clubs played two times against each other this season – Bournemouth won 2:1 at home in the Premier League fifth round, while they’ve beaten the Seagulls 1:0 after extra-time in the Carabao Cup round of 32.

BOURNEMOUTH

The Cherries put an end to a nine-game winless string, beating Everton 2:1 at home last Saturday, when the midfielder Ryan Fraser had a terrific night scoring a brace for his team. Bournemouth is now in the 14th spot with 20 points and a 20:32 goal difference, but they are still struggling at the defensive end, while they’ve scored just two goals in the previous four away matches.

Injuries and suspensions: Brad Smith (hip)

Brighton vs. Bournemouth – Match Prediction

Both teams are battling to survive in the Premier League, so I expect to see a patient approach and a tight match, probably with no more than two goals in total.

MY PICK: Under 2 Goals (+110)

BURNLEY vs. LIVERPOOL

3-Way: 1: Burnley +622; X: +337 Draw; 2: Liverpool -208 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread +1: Burnley +108; Liverpool -123

Total +2.5: Over -120; Under +102

BURNLEY

The Clarets are without a win for four matches in a row, recording three draws and one defeat in the process, including a 0:0 stalemate with Huddersfield on the road last Saturday. With 34 points and an 18:17 goal difference they are currently in the seventh spot of the table, seven points behind their next rival in the fourth spot which leads to the UEFA Champions League next year. Just one Burnley’s home match was finished with both teams on the scoresheet.

Injuries and suspensions: Tom Heaton (shoulder), Jonathan Walters (knee)

Head-to-head: Their previous H2H meeting was in the Premier League fifth round, finished in a 1:1 stalemate. In the last five duels, the Reds won three times, the Clarets won one match, while only one game was finished in the over.

LIVERPOOL

The Reds recorded their second consecutive victory in the previous round, beating Leicester City 2:1 at home when Mohamed Salah bagged a brace to reach a number of 17 Premier League goals in 21 appearances thus far. Liverpool is still in the fourth spot of the table with 41 points and a 48:24 goal difference, three points behind Manchester United in the third spot. On the road, the Reds are undefeated in the last five encounters, recording four wins and one draw in the process.

Injuries and suspensions: Nathaniel Clyne (back), Jordan Henderson (muscle), Alberto Moreno (malleolar)

Burnley vs. Liverpool – Match Prediction

The Reds are favorites in this one, but I expect to see a tight game, as the Clarets are a pretty dangerous team this season. However, I believe the visitors will find the net, and it should make the Clarets play more offensively.

MY PICK: Both Teams to Score YES (-106)

LEICESTER CITY vs. HUDDERSFIELD

3-Way: 1: Leicester City -154; X: +288 Draw; 2: Huddersfield +470 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread -1: Leicester City +116; Huddersfield -135

Total +2.5: Over +101; Under -121

LEICESTER CITY

The Foxes suffered second straight defeat, third in the last four matches, losing 2:1 to Liverpool on the road in the previous round of the English Premier League. They are currently sitting in the eighth spot of the table with 27 points and a 31:32 goal difference, three points ahead of their next rival. The Foxes are having some problems at the defensive end recently, conceding at least a goal in the previous seven matches in all competitions.

Injuries and suspensions: Robert Huth (foot), Danny Simpson (hamstring)

Head-to-head: These two sides played a 1:1 draw at Huddersfield early in the season, while the Foxes won two previous encounters in the English Championship four seasons ago.

HUDDERSFIELD

The Terriers recorded three consecutive draws against Burnley (0:0), Stoke (1:1), and Southampton (1:1), so they are currently in the comfortable 11th place of the table with 24 points and an 18:32 goal difference. Huddersfield is unbeaten in the previous two games away from home, while they’ve earned just eight points in ten matches on the road thus far with a 2-2-6 record and an 8:20 goal difference.

Injuries and suspensions: Elias Kachunga (knee)

Leicester City vs. Huddersfield – Match Prediction

After four matches without a win, I believe the Foxes will attack from the start, trying to get an early goal. On the other side, Huddersfield is a well-organized team, dangerous on the counter, so I think both teams could score in this one.

MY PICK: Both Teams to Score YES (-101)

STOKE CITY vs. NEWCASTLE

3-Way: 1: Stoke City +123; X: +231 Draw; 2: Newcastle +243 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread -0.5: Stoke City +120; Newcastle -143

Total +2.5: Over +114; Under -137

STOKE CITY

The Potters’ defense is pretty lousy this season, and in the previous round, they conceded five goals against Chelsea on the road, while they couldn’t keep the clean sheet for eleven matches in a row. At home, they’ve conceded 19 goals in ten games, scoring 13 in a return, and recording two wins and two losses in the last four tilts on the home soil.

Injuries and suspensions: Stephen Ireland (fractured leg), Bruno Martins Indi (groin)

Head-to-head: The Potters won the last four H2H meetings at home, while Newcastle won 2:1 their previous duel in the fifth round.

NEWCASTLE

The Magpies disappointed their fans last Saturday with a nil-nil draw against Brighton at home, proving they will struggle to avoid the relegation at the end of the season. They are one point above the relegation zone, and one point behind Stoke City, so staying unbeaten in the next clash with Potters is a must for Rafa Benitez’s boys.

Injuries and suspensions: Jesus Gamez (malleolar)

Stoke City vs. Newcastle – Match Prediction

Both teams have serious defensive issues, and if we get an early goal, this one could be easily finished in the over.

MY PICK: Over 2.5 Goals (+114)

EVERTON vs. MANCHESTER UNITED

3-Way: 1: Everton +442; X: +254 Draw; 2: Manchester United -135 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread +0.5: Everton +117; Manchester United -138

Total +2: Over -134; Under +114

EVERTON

The Toffees were beaten by Bournemouth 2:1 in the previous round after two goalless draws in a row with Chelsea and West Bromwich Albion. They are sitting at the ninth spot of the Premier League table with 27 points and a 25:32 goal difference, while at home, the Toffees are unbeaten in the last five matches recording four wins and one draw in the process.

Injuries and suspensions: Seamus Coleman (fractured leg), Ramiro Funes Mori (knee), Leighton Baines (calf, doubtful)

Head-to-head: In the fifth round this season Manchester United hammered Everton 4:0 at home, while both last season’s meetings were ended in a 1:1 draw.

MANCHESTER UNITED

After three consecutive draws against Southampton (0:0), Burnley (2:2), and Leicester City (2:2), the Red Devils dropped to the third spot of the Premier League with 44 points and a 43:16 goal difference, one point behind Chelsea in the second spot, while the leader Manchester City is now far away. Jose Mourinho’s guys missed a lot of scoring chances in the previous three rounds, so they will try to bounce back against the Toffees and get three points on the road where they are unbeaten in the last four encounters.

Injuries and suspensions: Eric Bailly (ankle), Michael Carrick (heart), Marouane Fellaini (knee), Antonio Valencia (hamstring), Romelu Lukaku (head, doubtful)

Everton vs. Manchester United – Match Prediction

Everton’s manager Sam Allardyce will certainly know how to prepare his team for this clash, so I expect a tight game with no more than two goals in a total.

MY PICK: Under 2 Goals (+114)

SOUTHAMPTON vs. CRYSTAL PALACE

3-Way: 1: Southampton -109; X: +252 Draw; 2: Crystal Palace +322 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread -0.5: Southampton -107; Crystal Palace -107

Total +2.5: Over -101; Under -118

SOUTHAMPTON

The Saints earned a well deserved 0:0 draw against the Red Devils at Old Trafford last Saturday, but they are now without a victory for eight matches in a row, recording four draws and four losses in the process. At least, they’ve kept the clean sheet after conceding at least one goal in the previous eight Premier League games.

Injuries and suspensions: Charlie Austin (hamstring), Cedric Soares (malleolar)

Head-to-head: Southampton won the last three H2H meetings at ST. Mary’s Stadium, while they’ve beaten the Eagles 1:0 at Selhurst Park earlier this season.

CRYSTAL PALACE

The Eagles are playing pretty well in the last couple of weeks, scoring at least a goal in each of the previous five Premier League matches. On the road, they are undefeated in the last four encounters, recording three draws and one win, and conceding just one goal in the process.

Injuries and suspensions: Chung-Yong Lee (muscular problems)

Southampton vs. Crystal Palace – Match Prediction

This clash is a pretty tricky one, but after eight games without a victory, I believe the home side will finally get three points. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if I see a goal in their net.

MY PICK: Southampton to Win (-109)

ADDITIONAL PICK: Both Teams to Score YES (-125)

SWANSEA CITY vs. TOTTENHAM

3-Way: 1: Swansea City +981; X: +442 Draw; 2: Tottenham -323 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread +1.5: Swansea City -104; Tottenham -108

Total +2.5: Over -138; Under +113

SWANSEA CITY

The Swans have beaten Watford 2:1 on the road in the previous round after trailing at the halftime, and it was their first victory in the last five matches along with one draw and three losses. At the moment, they are in the 19th spot of the table with 16 points and a 13:32 goal difference, three points behind Newcastle in the safe 16th spot.

Injuries and suspensions: Kyle Bartley (knee), Sung-Yong Ki (calf)

Head-to-head: Tottenham won three out of the last five H2H duels, while two matches were ended in a draw, including a fifth-round clash this season (0:0).

TOTTENHAM

The Spurs hammered Southampton 5:2 at home to record the fourth win in the last five Premier League matches, along with a 4:1 defeat against mighty Manchester City on the road. Harry Kane is sparkling recently, scoring two consecutive hat-tricks, so I expect to see more of the same from a pacey hitman. The Spurs have won just once in the last five away matches, scoring six goals in the process, and conceding nine in a return.

Injuries and suspensions: Toby Alderweireld (hamstring)

Swansea City vs. Tottenham – Match Prediction

If Harry Kane continues with impressive displays, I have no doubts about the final outcome, as Swansea’s defense is pretty fragile this season.

MY PICK: Tottenham AH -1.5 (-108)

WEST HAM vs. WEST BROMWICH ALBION

3-Way: 1: West Ham -104; X: +234 Draw; 2: West Bromwich Albion +336 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread -0.5: West Ham -106; West Bromwich Albion -107

Total +2: Over -123; Under +107

WEST HAM

The Hammers conceded six goals in two matches against Newcastle at home in a 3:2 defeat, and Bournemouth on the road in a 3:3 draw, so they are currently in the relegation zone with 18 points and a 22:38 goal difference. At home, the Hammers have won just one out of the last five games, along with two draws and two losses.

Injuries and suspensions: Jose Fonte (malleolar), Sam Byram (thigh)

Head-to-head: The previous two H2H meetings in London were finished in a stalemate, just like their last duel at Hawthorns in the fifth round earlier this season (0:0).

WEST BROMWICH ALBION

The Baggies are in all kind of problems, and they will visit West Ham with just one thing on their minds – how to stay undefeated and earn at least one point to help them survive. West Brom was pretty awful on the road so far, recording one win, three draws, and six losses with a 5:13 goal difference. They will need more help from their attack if they want to beat the Hammers on Tuesday, as they’ve scored just two goals in the previous five away matches.

Injuries and suspensions: James Morrison (Achilles tendon), Nacer Chadli (hamstring)

West Ham vs. West Bromwich Albion – Match Prediction

Both teams are struggling throughout the season, and I believe we’ll see a tight match with no more than two goals in a total, while this could be the first win for the visitors after a long, long time.

MY PICK: Under 2 Goals (+107)

ADDITIONAL PICK: West Bromwich Albion to Win (+336)

MANCHESTER CITY vs. WATFORD

3-Way: 1: Manchester City -833; X: +851 Draw; 2: Watford +2011 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread -2.5: Manchester City -105; Watford -107

Total +4: Over +112; Under -133

MANCHESTER CITY

The Citizens certainly like their city rival’s form, while they continue to torture opponents throughout the English Premier League, sitting at the top of the table with 14 points ahead of Manchester United. They’ve scored 61 goals in 20 Premier League matches, while the winger Raheem Sterling is playing brilliantly, adding 13 goals and six dishes to his name in 18 appearances. The striker Sergio Aguero bagged 12 goals thus far, and it seems like there is more to come from the Argentinian forward.

Injuries and suspensions: Benjamin Mendy (cruciate ligament surgery)

Head-to-head: The Citizens won the previous seven H2H duels, while they were brutal in the last two meetings (6:0 and 5:0).

WATFORD

The Hornets are struggling in December, recording one win, one draw, and five losses, including a 2:1 defeat against Swansea at home last Saturday. They couldn’t keep the clean sheet in the last eight Premier League matches, so the next clash with the Citizens could be a true nightmare for the Hornets and their fans. Watford is currently in the 10th spot of the Premier League table with 25 points and a 30:37 goal difference.

Injuries and suspensions: Nathaniel Chalobah (knee), Craig Cathcart (knee), Kiko Femenia (hamstring), Troy Deeney (red card suspension)

Manchester City vs. Watford – Match Prediction

With the current form, the Hornets are far away from a positive result in this one, and only holiday’s booze could save them from a catastrophe.

MY PICK: Manchester City AH -2.5 (-105)

ARSENAL vs. CHELSEA

3-Way: 1: Arsenal +158; X: +244 Draw; 2: Chelsea +175 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread 0: Arsenal -112; Chelsea -100

Total +2.5: Over +110; Under -129

ARSENAL

The Gunners are playing in a pretty shaky form, but they are somehow managing to collect points and stay in a race for the UEFA Champions League spot. They were great on the home soil so far, recording eight wins, one defeat, and a 3:3 draw with Liverpool in their previous home match, scoring 25 goals in the process and conceding 10 in a return.

Injuries and suspensions: Nacho Monreal (malleolar), Olivier Giroud (hamstring), Aaron Ramsey (hamstring), Santi Cazorla (plantar fascia)

Head-to-head: These two teams played twice this season against each other – Arsenal won the Community Shield match on penalties, while the fifth round match was ended in a nil-nil-draw. Last year at Emirates Stadium, the Gunners hammered Chelsea, 3:0.

CHELSEA

The Blues smashed Stoke City 5:0 in the previous round, and now they are sitting at the second spot of the Premier League table with one point ahead of Manchester United in the third spot. Chelsea has kept the clean sheet in the last four matches, scoring eight goals in a return, so the clash with Gunners will be a nice test for their defense.

Injuries and suspensions: David Luiz (knee)

Arsenal vs. Chelsea – Match Prediction

When the North London Arsenal meets West London Chelsea, excitements are guaranteed, and after a goalless draw in the previous H2H match, I expect to see some goals on both sides, while a draw looks like the most probable outcome.

MY PICK: Over 3 Goals (+110)

ADDITIONAL PICK: Draw (+244)

TOTTENHAM vs. WEST HAM

3-Way: 1: Tottenham -357; X: +497 Draw; 2: West Ham +994 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread -1.5: Tottenham -119; West Ham +104

Total +3: Over -109; Under -107

The closing game of the English Premier League Round 22 is set for Thursday, December 4th, 2018, when the Spurs meets the Hammers in another London derby. Both sides will play two matches in this round, so we’ll see who will save more freshness for this encounter.

Head-to-head: In the last six H2H duels both teams recorded three wins each. They’ve met each other two times this season – Tottenham won the fifth round match 3:2, while the Hammers won the Carabao Cup round of 16 game with the identical result.

Tottenham vs. West Ham – Match Prediction

The Spurs are in a far better form than the Hammers, so I believe they will get three points here, while I expect to see at least three goals in visitors’ net, as their defensive job is pretty flimsy this season.

MY PICK: Over 3 Goals (-109)
