EPL Fantasy: Daily Fantasy Lineup

The Premier League season continues with six games on the schedule on Saturday and that means plenty of options to choose from in DraftKings daily fantasy leagues. We took the time to break down the matchups, fantasy points, and player values to come up with the best possible lineup for this week’s fantasy competitions. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for this week’s DraftKings EPL fantasy leagues.

GK: Ben Foster, West Brom

Salary: $5,200

West Brom extended its undefeated streak with a 2-1 win over Bournemouth in their last match and they should have an excellent opportunity to add another win to their run when they take on Crystal Palace. Foster has been excellent in goal for West Brom on their current run and that trend should continue against a Crystal Palace side that is currently in the relegation zone.

D: Jonny Evans, West Brom

Salary: $3,300

It only makes sense to capitalize on the West Brom matchup with at least one more addition from their roster and Evans might be the perfect fit. Evans is available at just $3.3K in DraftKings competitions so it makes sense to have him in our lineup.

D: Ryan Shawcross, Stoke

Salary: $3,100

Speaking of strong value options at the defender position, Shawcross is another excellent pick as he is available at $3.1K. Stoke has a favourable matchup this week against Middlesbrough so Shawcross should be a smart pick that doesn’t cost a ton of cap space. Stoke City enters the week in 10th place in the EPL with 32 points.

M: Phillipe Coutinho, Liverpool

Salary: $9,400

Coutinho has consistently been one of the most productive midfielders in the Premier League and Liverpool will need him to be at his best when they clash with Arsenal in an absolutely crucial matchup. Coutinho has the potential to put up some big numbers on Saturday and after saving some substantial money with our defender picks it makes sense to spend big in this spot. Liverpool has been one of the top teams in terms of EPL fantasy as they have scored a Premier League-leading 55 goals to this point. They enter the week in fifth place with 49 points but are just four points out of second place.

M: Nacer Chadli, West Brom

Salary: $5,300

Chadli is a bit of an underrated option doubling back to West Brom’s favourable matchup versus Bournemouth. Chadli has consistently been one of West Brom’s best fantasy midfielders so it makes sense to lock him in to this spot at just over $5K.

F: Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal

Salary: $10,400

The Liverpool-Arsenal matchup should feature plenty of goal scoring and that means Sanchez will be involved as the highest-scoring fantasy player in the Premier League this season. Sanchez is an absolute stud up front and he should be in for a big performance in a high scoring game against Liverpool on Saturday.

F: Salomon Rondon, West Brom

Salary: $6,300

Rondon has been West Brom’s best scoring option up front and while he isn’t an elite scorer like Sanchez he is available at a much better price. Rondon should benefit from the favourable matchup and produce a strong outing on Saturday. West Brom isn’t often mentioned in our EPL fantasy lists as they have been mediocre. They have registered 40 points in 26 games this season while scoring 36 goals and allowing 32.

FLEX: Olivier Giroud, Arsenal

Salary: $6,800

With around $7K left over to fill out our final FLEX position, we decided to lock in Giroud as a strong value play considering his overall potential. Giroud is an outstanding point producer that tends to play his best in big games and based on his relatively low price tag it makes sense to lock him in as our final FLEX option.

Arsenal enters the week in fourth place in the EPL standings with 50 points. They’re still a ways off the pace as Chelsea leads the way with 63. However, Arsenal has been fantastic for EPL fantasy purposes in terms of offense as their 54 goals are the second-most in the Premier League only behind Chelsea and Liverpool.
