EPL Fantasy: Premier League Week 23 Lineup

The Premier League season resumes on Tuesday with an extremely busy slate as 14 teams will take to the pitch. We took the time to break down the matchups, player values and overall talent in an effort to build an EPL fantasy roster that we feel has the potential to win in DraftKings competitions this week. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for Tuesday’s DraftKings EPL fantasy leagues.

GK: Hugo Lloris, Tottenham

Salary: $5,800

Lloris has been one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League this season and that trend should continue with Spurs getting another favorable matchup versus Sunderland on Tuesday. Lloris should definitely be in line for the win and a strong performance could also mean him coming through with a clean sheet bonus. Tottenham enters the week in third place in the English Premier League standings. They have 46 points so far this season and are just one point out of second but are nine out of first place.

D: Laurent Koscielny, Arsenal

Salary: $4,100

Koscielny has been one of the best EPL fantasy defenders in the Premier League all year and yet he is still available for just over $4K. Arsenal will be in a favorable matchup versus Watford on Tuesday so Koscielny should be in line for a strong fantasy performance. Arsenal is currently in second place in the EPL standings with 47 points in 22 games.

D: Shkodran Mustafi, Arsenal

Salary: $3,700

Mustafi is another intriguing option from Arsenal’s defense core as he is coming off a strong performance last week and is still available at a very reasonable price at under $4K. Mustafi should be a reliable second defender option for this week’s competition so we have no problem pairing him with Koscielny as a strong value pick.

M: Alex Iwobi, Arsenal

Salary: $6,500

Speaking of value, Iwobi produced the sixth-best EPL fantasy score for Arsenal last week and is primed for another strong performance in a starting role this week. The fact that he is available at just $6.5K makes him an underrated value pick and he is definitely a strong option in most lineups this week. Arsenal has been the best team in the Premier League in terms of offense for EPL fantasy purposes. They have scored 50 goals so far, which is the second-most – only second to Liverpool.

M: Cesc Fabregas, Chelsea

Salary: $6,000

Fabregas has not been the most consistent option this season but he has been good enough to take a chance on this week with Chelsea set to play a tough matchup versus Liverpool. The Blues will need to find their rhythm at the offensive end of the pitch and that should mean a strong performance from Fabregas as one of the catalysts of their offense. Chelsea has been the best option to look at for EPL fantasy purposes as they’ve given up just 15 goals so far this season, which is the best in the EPL.

F: Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal

Salary: $11,000

Sanchez is the most expensive option on the board for Tuesday’s DraftKings competitions for a reason as he leads all Premier League players in EPL fantasy score this season. Sanchez should be in for another strong performance when the Gunners take on Watford on Tuesday so we have no problem spending a little more to lock him in as our top forward option.

F: Harry Kane, Tottenham

Salary: $9,500

Pairing Kane with Sanchez is the optimal scenario and the fact that we were able to find so many other strong sleeper options throughout our lineup allows us a chance to roll with two of the top strikers on the board. Kane will benefit from a dream matchup against a struggling Sunderland side so the expectations will be high for Tuesday.

FLEX: Tyrone Mings, Bournemouth

Salary: $3,100

With just over $3K left over to address the final FLEX position on our roster it makes a lot of sense to roll with Mings as a smart value option. Mings might not have elite offensive potential but he is a steady defender that could be in line for a clean sheet bonus with Bournemouth set to take on a struggling Crystal Palace side so he might be worth the investment in this spot.
